## Key benefits

- Kaolin clay and hydrated silica lift excess sebum as you massage
- Glycinate and glutamate surfactants keep the wash gentle
- Rice appears as both seed water and seed extract on the list
- Beta-glucan, panthenol and ceramide NP soften the after-feel

## How it works

A deep cleanser is asked to do more than a daily wash, and the way this one does it is with clay: kaolin and hydrated silica sit near the front of the list and take surface oil with them when they rinse. Sodium cocoyl glycinate is the surfactant base rather than a sulfate, so the wash stays mild for a formula aimed at congestion. Rice seed water, panthenol and beta-glucan are on the same list, which is what keeps a clay wash from finishing tight. It goes first in the routine, and it is worth taking slowly across the nose and chin. Every evening, or on the days skin looks congested rather than simply oily.

## How to use

1. Use the RED RICE INOSITOL Pore Clarifying Deep Cleanser as your first step, morning and evening, on a face already wet with lukewarm water.
2. A short pump or a pea of product is enough. Work it into a lather in wet hands for about twenty seconds before it touches the face.
3. Rinse with lukewarm water and go straight on to your toner while skin is still damp, because a humectant layer has more to hold on to on a damp face.
4. Twice a day is the ceiling. Do not follow it with a second cleanse in the morning, when there is no sunscreen or makeup left on the face to remove.

## FAQ

### What does the rice and inositol in this cleanser do?

Oryza sativa rice seed water and rice seed extract both appear on the list, alongside inositol, and rice-water formulas are a long standing Korean skincare category built around gentle brightening and softness on the skin's surface. Here they sit among a large supporting cast of humectants and soothing agents rather than acids, so the effect is cosmetic softness, not exfoliation.

### Is this cleanser meant for oily or congested skin?

Kaolin and hydrated silica both appear on the list, and both are clay and mineral ingredients used to absorb surface oil during a wash. Combined with sodium cocoyl glycinate as the primary surfactant, that makes this a deep-clean formula better suited to oily or pore-congested skin than to already-dry skin.

### Does this cleanser contain niacinamide?

Yes, niacinamide appears well down the ingredient list, after the surfactant and clay portion of the formula. In a rinse-off cleanser an ingredient at that position contributes only briefly during the wash itself rather than delivering the sustained exposure a leave-on niacinamide serum would.

### Will the clay in this formula feel drying?

Kaolin and hydrated silica do draw oil, but the list also carries beta-glucan, sodium hyaluronate, hydrolyzed hyaluronic acid and panthenol to soften that effect. The balance reads as a clay cleanser designed to be used daily rather than as an occasional deep-clean mask, though very dry skin may still prefer a cream cleanser instead.

### How is this different from a plain foaming cleanser?

A plain foaming cleanser is usually just a surfactant base. This one adds clay and mineral absorbents, a long humectant tail of hyaluronate forms, and ceramide NP near the end of the list, so it is built to clean and mattify oily areas while still leaving some barrier support behind after rinsing.
