## How it works

Sodium Hyaluronate leads the ingredient panel on this serum. Sodium Hyaluronate is the salt of hyaluronic acid, and it is what most products labelled hyaluronic actually contain. The salt dissolves more readily and the molecule is smaller, so it sits in the outer layer of skin rather than only on top of it. On this panel it sits alongside Niacinamide, Adenosine and Ceramide NP. Niacinamide is vitamin B3, and it is the most studied active in Korean formulation. It is used at roughly 2 to 5 percent for the look of uneven tone and visible pores, and it is water soluble, stable and comfortable beside almost every other active, which is why it turns up in so many lists.

## How to use

1. Apply after toner while the skin is still damp, since humectants work best on a wet surface.
2. Press three or four drops across the face with flat fingertips rather than rubbing.
3. Always follow with a moisturiser, because a humectant serum alone can leave dry skin tighter.
4. Do not apply it to bone dry skin in a dry room, as that is when a hydrating serum feels worst.

## FAQ

### What does Niacinamide do in this serum?

Niacinamide sits within the first ten ingredients, the tone-evening, barrier-supporting active Korean formulas lean on most often, and its early position here means it is not a token dose.

### Is Betaine also in this formula?

Betaine sits within the first ten ingredients, a humectant and comfort ingredient common across Korean bases. It sits alongside Niacinamide on MEDIHEAL's ingredient list for this product.

### How is this serum used in a routine?

Apply a few drops to cleansed skin and pat in gently before moisturiser. It works as a treatment step layered under moisturiser.

### Who is this serum suited for?

Sensitive skin, Normal skin are the best fit for this serum. Patch test on the inner arm before first full use, as with any new skincare product.
