The panel on this ampoule names seven forms of centella asiatica rather than one: Centella Asiatica Leaf Water, Centella Asiatica Extract, Madecassoside, Asiatic Acid, Asiaticoside, Madecassic Acid, Centella Asiatica Leaf Extract. Centella Asiatica Leaf Water is the distilled water of the centella leaf, used in place of plain water as a formula base. It is far more dilute than the extract, so it sets the base rather than supplying the actives. On this panel it sits alongside Niacinamide, Adenosine and Melaleuca Alternifolia (tea Tree) Leaf Extract. Niacinamide is vitamin B3, and it is the most studied active in Korean formulation.
