- Lactic Acid on the same panel, the formula's exfoliant
- Centella Asiatica Extract on the same panel, the formula's plant extract
- 150 ml to a unit
- Korean-market formula, with its Korean barcode and batch code intact on the box

## How it works

The panel on this cleanser names five forms of ceramide rather than one: Ceramide 3, Ceramide 2, Ceramide 4, Ceramide 1, Ceramide 6 II. Ceramide NP is the most used cosmetic ceramide, the same class of lipid that makes up roughly half the mortar between cells in the outer layer of skin. Added to a cream it slots into that structure, which is why ceramide formulas feel less leaky rather than merely greasy. On this panel it sits alongside Lactic Acid, Centella Asiatica Extract and Gardenia Florida Fruit Extract. Lactic Acid is a larger AHA than glycolic, so it works nearer the surface and is easier on skin, and it is a humectant as well as an exfoliant. It is the AHA of choice for dry skin.

## How to use

1. Work a small amount into a lather with water, massage over damp skin for under a minute, then rinse thoroughly. Morning and night.

## FAQ

### How do I use Azulene Soothing PH Cleanser 150ml?

Work a small amount into a lather with water, massage over the face for under a minute, and rinse thoroughly. Use it morning and night as your first step. As with any new step, give it a fair, consistent trial of a week or two before you decide whether to keep it in your routine, and stop if you notice ongoing irritation rather than pushing through it.

### Do I need to double cleanse with this?

In the evening, yes, if you wear sunscreen or makeup: use an oil or balm cleanser first, then this foam as the second pass. In the morning, it works alone.

### Is this the same formula sold in Korea, or a version made for the US market?

This is the Korean-market formula, the same one sold on shelves in Korea rather than a version reformulated for US retail.

### Can I use this if my skin runs sensitive?

This cleanser is formulated with skin types like normal or combination skin in mind, but any new product is worth a patch test first if your skin reacts easily. A short patch test on the inside of your arm or behind an ear before it goes on your face is worth doing, and that goes for sensitive skin most of all.

### How long before I will know if this is right for my skin?

Give it a full week or two of consistent use before you judge, since a single use rarely tells you much either way. Watch for how skin feels and looks rather than for any specific number, and stop use if you notice ongoing irritation.
