## How it works

Ascorbic Acid leads the ingredient panel on this serum. Ascorbic Acid is pure vitamin C, the most researched form and also the least stable: it needs a low pH and airtight packaging to stay active. It is an antioxidant used for the look of dullness and uneven tone. On this panel it sits alongside Niacinamide, Hydrolyzed Collagen and Nelumbium Speciosum Flower Extract. Niacinamide is vitamin B3, and it is the most studied active in Korean formulation. It is used at roughly 2 to 5 percent for the look of uneven tone and visible pores, and it is water soluble, stable and comfortable beside almost every other active, which is why it turns up in so many lists.

## How to use

1. Use it in the morning, after toner and before moisturizer, on a face that is no longer wet.
2. Three or four drops across the face, pressed in and given a minute.
3. A moisturizer over the top of it, then sunscreen to finish the morning.
4. Build from a few mornings a week to daily. Do not use it in the same routine as an exfoliating acid.

## FAQ

### What does Sodium Hyaluronate do in this formula?

Sodium Hyaluronate is the salt form of hyaluronic acid, a humectant that holds water at the skin's surface. On this formula's own ingredient list it sits high on the ingredient list, among the formula's main working ingredients.

### Is this the Korean-market formula or a US version?

This is the Korean-market formula Purito Seoul sells on shelves in Korea, not a version reformulated for the US shelf.

### What step does this serum or ampoule go in a routine?

Apply a small amount to cleansed, toned skin, pat in gently, then follow with a moisturizer.

### Can I use this with other actives in my routine?

Sodium Hyaluronate generally layers well alongside a normal routine; introduce any new active gradually and watch how your skin responds over the first week or two.
