## How it works

The panel on this cream names six forms of centella asiatica rather than one: Centella Asiatica Extract, Centella Asiatica Leaf Extract, Asiaticoside, Asiatic Acid, Madecassic Acid, Madecassoside. Centella Asiatica is the plant behind the whole cica category, sold as gotu kola or Madagascar centella. Its extract is the anchor of Korean formulas built for easily reddened skin, and its work is done by four triterpenes: asiaticoside, madecassoside, asiatic acid and madecassic acid. On this panel it sits alongside Niacinamide, Pinus Densiflora Leaf Extract and Palmitic Acid. Niacinamide is vitamin B3, and it is the most studied active in Korean formulation. It is used at roughly 2 to 5 percent for the look of uneven tone and visible pores, and it is water soluble, stable and comfortable beside almost every other active, which is why it turns up in so many lists.

## How to use

1. Use it at the end of your routine, once your toner and serum have settled.
2. Warm a small amount between your fingertips and press it over the face and neck rather than rubbing.
3. Add a second thin layer on the areas that still feel tight instead of one heavy layer everywhere.
4. Do not apply it before your serum, since nothing thinner will get through a cream that is already on the skin.

## FAQ

### What is Pine Calming Cica Cream Plus 60ml?

It is a daily face cream from Round Lab, made for skin that flushes easily, feels tight after cleansing or reacts to most new products. It is the last leave-on step, going on after your toner, essence and serum. The result you can judge yourself is whether your skin looks calmer and feels less tight through the day.

### Where does Pine Calming Cica Cream Plus 60ml go in my routine?

It is the last leave-on step, going on after your toner, essence and serum. In practice: Smooth a small amount over the face and neck as your last leave-on step, morning and night, after your serum. Applying it out of that order is the usual reason a step seems to do nothing.

### Is Pine Calming Cica Cream Plus 60ml right for my skin type?

It is aimed at skin that flushes easily, feels tight after cleansing or reacts to most new products. The skin types we would put first are sensitive skin, dry skin and combination skin. Reactive skin usually does better with fewer steps and no fragrance stacked on top, so keep the routine around it simple while you judge it.

### Is this too heavy for oily or combination skin?

Judge it by the area rather than the whole face. Most people with combination skin can use a cream like this on the cheeks and jaw and something thinner across the nose and forehead. If your skin feels shiny an hour after applying it everywhere, use half as much and see whether that fixes it before you switch products.

### Is this Pine Calming Cica Cream Plus 60ml the authentic Korean-market formula?

Yes. We stock the Round Lab Korean-market formula rather than a version reformulated for US shelves. The jar you open is the 60ml one sold on Korean shelves, with Korean-primary packaging and an intact barcode you can check yourself.
