## How it works

The panel on this cleansing oil names six forms of centella asiatica rather than one: Centella Asiatica Leaf Extract, Centella Asiatica Extract, Madecassoside, Madecassic Acid, Asiaticoside, Asiatic Acid. Centella Asiatica is the plant behind the whole cica category, sold as gotu kola or Madagascar centella. Its extract is the anchor of Korean formulas built for easily reddened skin, and its work is done by four triterpenes: asiaticoside, madecassoside, asiatic acid and madecassic acid. On this panel it sits alongside Pentaerythrityl Tetra-Di-T-Butyl Hydroxyhydrocinnamate, Carthamus Tinctorius (Safflower) Flower Extract and Gardenia Florida Fruit Extract. This is a stabiliser that keeps the oils and fragrance in a formula from oxidising. Its job is the shelf life of the product rather than any effect on skin.

## How to use

1. Use the Pine Cica Deep Pore Cleansing Oil as the first of two evening cleanses, on dry skin and dry hands, before any water reaches the face.
2. Two or three full pumps, massaged over dry skin for a full minute so sunscreen and makeup have time to dissolve.
3. Add a little water and keep massaging until it turns milky, rinse, then follow with a water-based cleanser. That second wash is what takes the oil off.
4. Once a day, in the evening. Do not use it as your morning cleanse; there is nothing on a face at seven in the morning that needs an oil to lift it.

## FAQ

### Is the Pine Cica Deep Pore Cleansing Oil on this page the Korean-market formula?

Yes. It is the release Round Lab makes for sale inside Korea. The same product name can carry a different ingredient list or a different size in an export version, and we list only the Korean one. Round Lab is one of the brands where we have documented a Korean formula and a US formula that genuinely differ.

### Where does the Pine Cica Deep Pore Cleansing Oil sit in a routine?

It occupies the cleansing step. Build the routine around the step you are replacing rather than the brand you recognise: a cleanser, a hydrating toner, one serum and one moisturizer is a complete routine, and four products chosen carefully tell you more about your skin than ten bought at once.

### What size is the Pine Cica Deep Pore Cleansing Oil?

200 ml. That is the size Round Lab sells in Korea for this product; it is the same size sold in Korea: we do not substitute an export format or a US size for the Korean one.

### How does buying the Pine Cica Deep Pore Cleansing Oil here compare with a US retailer?

The unit sold here is the unit built for the Korean market, with the Korean barcode and batch code intact on the box. A US listing carrying the same product name may be the export version and rarely tells you which one it is sending.
