## How it works

The panel on this cream names seven forms of centella asiatica rather than one: Centella Asiatica Extract, Centella Asiatica Leaf Extract, Centella Asiatica Root Extract, Asiatic Acid(10 Ppb), Asiaticoside(10 Ppb), Madecassic Acid(1 Ppb), Madecassoside(1 Ppb). Centella Asiatica is the plant behind the whole cica category, sold as gotu kola or Madagascar centella. Its extract is the anchor of Korean formulas built for easily reddened skin, and its work is done by four triterpenes: asiaticoside, madecassoside, asiatic acid and madecassic acid. On this panel it sits alongside Houttuynia Cordata Flower/Leaf/Stem Water, Palmitic Acid and Adenosine. Heartleaf water, taken from the whole plant above ground. Korean formulas use it as a base in place of water, where it is far more dilute than the extract of the same plant.
