How it works
A hair oil is a finishing step, which means it goes on after the wash and after the towel rather than into either. This is the oil serum in COSRX's PEPTIDE-132 range, thin enough to work through the lengths without flattening them. A few drops warmed between the palms and drawn from the mid-lengths to the ends is the whole application, and the roots are left out of it on purpose. Ends that look dull and rough once the hair has dried are what a finishing step is for, and another wash only resets the day. It can go on damp hair before drying, on dry hair afterwards, or a little of both.
Key benefits

- Argan, olive, camellia, jojoba, rice bran and grape seed oils build the gloss
- A dry-oil slip that leaves shine without residue
- Seals ends after heat styling or air drying

COSRX Peptide-132 Ultra Perfect Hair Bonding Oil Serum
What is this hair oil serum for?
This is a lightweight dry-oil serum led by dimethicone and a blend of silicone derivatives, with argan, olive, camellia, jojoba and rice bran oils listed further down and tripeptide-132 closing out the list. It is built to seal and add shine to dry ends after washing or heat styling rather than to clean or condition through a wash cycle.
Will this weigh down fine hair or leave it greasy?
The formula opens with dimethicone and other silicone-family ingredients rather than a heavy mineral oil or butter, which is what gives it a dry-oil feel that sits on the surface rather than soaking in heavily. No mineral oil, paraben or added colourant appears on the list. Warming a small amount between palms and keeping it away from the roots, as directed, helps fine hair avoid a greasy look.
Does the shine effect build over repeated use?
A leave-in oil serum stays on hair rather than rinsing out, so each application adds its own layer of gloss rather than accumulating chemically over time the way a rinse-off treatment might. Using it consistently on damp or dry ends after styling is what keeps the look consistent wash to wash, not a change in the formula's effect itself.
Can I use this after the shampoo and treatment from the same line?
Yes, this serum is designed as the leave-in final step after the rinse-off shampoo and treatment, applied to damp or dry hair rather than during the wash. Because the shampoo and treatment rinse off before this step, there is nothing left behind for the serum's oils to conflict with.
How can I confirm this bottle is the real Korean-market formula?
COSRX verifies units itself rather than through a reseller: locate the batch number and expiration date printed on your bottle and enter them on the verification page at cosrx.com. Reading those figures off your own packaging is the point of the exercise. The barcode for this size is 8809598457355.

How to use
- Use the Hair Bonding Oil Serum after washing, on hair towelled to damp, or on dry hair as a finish.
- Two or three drops warmed between the palms, then drawn from the mid-lengths down to the ends.
- It goes on after any rinse-out treatment and before heat styling, once the towel has taken the drips out.
- Whenever the ends look rough. Do not work it into the roots or the scalp; an oil there flattens hair rather than smoothing it.
Worth knowing
- Fragrance is on the ingredient list.
- An essential oil or citrus peel oil is on the list; those carrying a fragrance sensitivity should check it.
