About Korean-market moisturizers
Which moisturizer texture should you choose?
Match the texture to your skin and your climate, not to the price. Gel creams suit oily skin and humid weather, emulsions sit well under makeup on combination skin, and a heavier barrier cream suits skin that is dry, flaking or reacting to products it used to accept. Ceramides, panthenol and beta glucan are the label ingredients to look for in that last case.
What does Korean-market change about a moisturizer?
Less than the marketing suggests, and mostly the pack rather than the formula. The Korean release is often sold in a jar size US retail skips, and it is the Korean-shelf unit rather than an export edition. For the creams we stock we found no US reformulation, so the ingredient list we hold for each unit is the one printed on its product page beside the barcode, ready to read against any US listing of the same name.
