How to use
- Use the Blur-Finish Shadow 5.4g #701 Jane Austen at the point in the routine the pack directs, on clean skin.
- Apply the desired shade to the eyelids using a fingertip or eyeshadow brush. Layer and blend to build the intensity you want.
- Clean skin underneath, and nothing layered over it until it has settled.
- As often as the pack directs. Do not introduce it in the same week as another new leave-on product; one change at a time is the only way to read the result.
Does this product contain added fragrance?
No. Neither fragrance nor parfum appears on the ingredient list for Dinto Blur-Finish Shadow 5.4g #701 Jane Austen. Those are the two names a cosmetic label uses for an added scent blend, so a formula carrying one would name it. The full list is printed in the Ingredients section of this page.
Are any declarable fragrance allergens listed?
No. None of the 26 fragrance components that EU cosmetic labelling requires to be named individually appear on the ingredient list for Dinto Blur-Finish Shadow 5.4g #701 Jane Austen. They are the components most often reported as contact allergens, which is why that rule names them one by one.
Does this product contain denatured or SD alcohol?
No. The ingredient list for Dinto Blur-Finish Shadow 5.4g #701 Jane Austen names no denatured alcohol, SD alcohol or ethanol. Fatty alcohols such as cetyl and cetearyl alcohol are a different class of ingredient, used as emollients and thickeners, and are not counted here.
Not on the ingredient list below: fragrance or parfum, denatured or SD alcohol, essential oils, parabens, sulfate surfactants and mineral oil or petrolatum.

16 of 26 explained
- Mica (CI 77019) colorant
- Mica is a mineral ground into fine flakes. It scatters light, so it lightens a shade and gives the soft glow of a tinted or illuminating product.
- Silica absorbent
- Silica is finely milled mineral, essentially very pure sand. It absorbs oil, stops powders clumping and soft-focuses the look of pores and fine lines.
- Boron Nitride absorbent
- A plate-like mineral powder with a notably slippery feel. It softens how light falls on skin and makes a powder or stick glide rather than drag.
- Iron Oxide Yellow (CI 77492) colorant
- Iron Oxides are mineral pigments in red, yellow and black, and the three are blended to make every skin-tone shade in a tinted product. They are inert and sit on the surface.
- Lauroyl Lysine amino acid
- Lauroyl Lysine is the amino acid lysine with a fatty tail attached, which turns it into a fine powder that clings to skin. It gives a silky, dry feel and helps disperse pigments.
- Hexyl Laurate emollient
- A light ester emollient with a dry, fast-spreading feel. It also helps dissolve powders and pigments evenly.
- Phenyl Trimethicone silicone
- Phenyl Trimethicone is a silicone with a higher refractive index than most, so it adds visible gloss as well as slip. It is common in glow and lip textures.
- Diisostearyl Malate emollient
- Diisostearyl Malate is a thick, glossy ester used to hold pigment in suspension and give a cushioned shine. It is the standard emollient in lip products.
- Dimethicone silicone
- Dimethicone is the most used cosmetic silicone. It forms a breathable film that smooths the surface, slows water leaving skin, and gives the slip that makes a primer or cream feel silky. It is inert and does not penetrate.
- Dipentaerythrityl Hexahydroxystearate/Hexastearate/Hexarosinate emollient
- A thick rosin-bearing ester used in lip products for shine and staying power. It is what makes a gloss cling rather than slide off.
- Caprylyl Glycol preservative booster
- Caprylyl Glycol is a glycol that conditions skin and, more importantly, strengthens a preservative system so less of the traditional preservative is needed. It appears in most modern formulas built without parabens.
- Ultramarines (CI 77007) colorant
- Ultramarines are blue to violet mineral pigments. In skincare they are used in tiny amounts to shift a yellow-looking base back toward neutral.
4 more explained
- Glyceryl Caprylate emulsifier
- Glyceryl Caprylate is a mild emulsifier that also makes a formula less hospitable to microbes, so it is often part of a preservative-free system.
- Triethoxycaprylylsilane silicone
- Triethoxycaprylylsilane is a coating applied to mineral powders so they disperse evenly and resist water rather than clumping.
- Ethylhexylglycerin preservative booster
- Ethylhexylglycerin softens skin and boosts a preservative system, which is why it is nearly always sitting beside phenoxyethanol or 1,2-hexanediol. It also cuts down the odour bacteria produce, so it turns up in deodorising products.
- Tocopherol antioxidant
- Tocopherol is vitamin E. It is an oil-soluble antioxidant that protects the oils in a formula from going rancid and works on skin as an emollient, and it is regularly paired with vitamin C because each keeps the other going for longer.
