How it works
The Tea Tree Purifine Cleansing Foam is a 150ml foam cleanser, used as your first step, morning and evening, on a face already wet with lukewarm water. The polysaccharide it is built around is Beta-Glucan, named twenty-seventh on its own ingredient list. The same list carries Eclipta Prostrata Extract, Laminaria Japonica Extract and Fructooligosaccharides, so the polysaccharide is not the only thing on it worth naming. How much of the Beta-Glucan stays on the skin, and for how long, is decided by the foam cleanser format rather than by the list alone. This is the Original Korean Formula, the foam cleanser Dr. Ceuracle sells in Korea, Beta-Glucan and all.
Key benefits
- Beta-Glucan, the polysaccharide this foam cleanser is built around
- Eclipta Prostrata Extract and Laminaria Japonica Extract on the same list, plant extracts
- Fructooligosaccharides and Hydrolyzed Hyaluronic Acid on the same list, humectants
- Beta-Glucan named twenty-seventh on the manufacturer list printed on this page
- The Korean-market release of this foam cleanser, confirmed against its Korean barcode
Key actives
Beta-Glucanpolysaccharide
Beta-Glucan is a polysaccharide from oats or yeast. It holds a large amount of water, forms a soothing film, and is one of the ingredients formulators reach for in products aimed at reactive skin. On this foam cleanser's own ingredient list it is named twenty-seventh.
Eclipta Prostrata Extractplant extract
Eclipta Prostrata is false daisy, long used in Ayurvedic and East Asian practice. Its extract is used as a conditioning plant extract, most often in scalp and hair formulas. The panel names it twenty-third on this foam cleanser's list, beside Beta-Glucan.
Laminaria Japonica Extractplant extract
Laminaria Japonica is kombu kelp. Its extract carries alginates, minerals and iodine, and it is used as a hydrating, mineral-rich ingredient. The panel names it twenty-fourth on this foam cleanser's list, beside Beta-Glucan.
Fructooligosaccharideshumectant
Fructooligosaccharides are short fructose chains used as humectants and as food for the skin's own resident microbes. It is named twenty-sixth on this foam cleanser's list, alongside Beta-Glucan.
Hydrolyzed Hyaluronic Acidhumectant
Hydrolyzed Hyaluronic Acid is hyaluronic acid cut into much shorter fragments. The smaller the fragment, the further into the outer layer it can settle, which is why serums stack several sizes together instead of using one. It is named twenty-ninth on this foam cleanser's list, alongside Beta-Glucan.
Where does this foam cleanser go in my routine?
As your first step, morning and evening, on a face already wet with lukewarm water. Nothing goes under it: this foam cleanser is the step everything else in the routine lands on top of. If you are adding it to a routine you already like, give it a week on its own first, so what you see is the Beta-Glucan and not three changes at once.
Is this the Korean-market foam cleanser or a US version?
The Korean-market one, Beta-Glucan and all. We match this foam cleanser to its Korean barcode before it reaches the shelf, which is the check that tells you which market release you are holding.
Does this foam cleanser contain fragrance?
Yes. The ingredient list names Linalool and Parfum. They sit on the panel printed on this page, so you can read the position for yourself before you buy. If fragrance components are something you avoid, this foam cleanser is not the one.
What else is on the list besides Beta-Glucan?
Eclipta Prostrata Extract, Laminaria Japonica Extract and Fructooligosaccharides. The order they are printed in on this foam cleanser's panel is the order on the box, so you can see where Beta-Glucan sits relative to them. Further down the same panel: Hydrolyzed Hyaluronic Acid.

How to use
- Use the Tea Tree Purifine Cleansing Foam as your first step, morning and evening, on a face already wet with lukewarm water.
- Dispense an appropriate amount into palm and lather up. Gently massage over face in circular motions and rinse off thoroughly with lukewarm water.
- Rinse with lukewarm water and go straight on to your toner while skin is still damp, because a humectant layer has more to hold on to on a damp face.
- Twice a day is the ceiling. Do not follow it with a second cleanse in the morning, when there is no sunscreen or makeup left on the face to remove.
Worth knowing
- Patch test this foam cleanser on a small area and wait a day before using it more widely, especially with Beta-Glucan on the list.
- This list names Linalool and Parfum, so skip it if fragrance components are something you avoid.
