How it works
The Nosca9 Trouble Toning Ampoule is a 15ml ampoule, used after toner and before moisturizer, morning and evening. The active it is built around is Niacinamide, named third on its own ingredient list. The same list carries Tranexamic Acid, Allantoin and Zinc PCA, so the active is not the only thing on it worth naming. How much of the Niacinamide stays on the skin, and for how long, is decided by the ampoule format rather than by the list alone. This is the Original Korean Formula, the ampoule Fation sells in Korea, Niacinamide and all.
Key benefits
- Niacinamide, the active this ampoule is built around
- Tranexamic Acid, Allantoin, Zinc PCA and Alpha-Arbutin on the same list, actives
- Dipotassium Glycyrrhizate and Methyl Diisopropyl Propionamide further down the same list
- Caffeine and Retinyl Palmitate further down the same list
- Niacinamide named third on the manufacturer list printed on this page
- The Korean-market release of this ampoule, confirmed against its Korean barcode
Key actives
Niacinamideactive
Niacinamide is vitamin B3, and it is the most studied active in Korean formulation. On this ampoule's own ingredient list it is named third.
Tranexamic Acidactive
Tranexamic Acid is a synthetic amino acid derivative used for the look of stubborn discolouration and post-blemish marks. It is water soluble, stable and comfortable next to niacinamide, which is how it is usually paired. The panel names it eleventh on this ampoule's list, beside Niacinamide.
Allantoinactive
Allantoin is a comfrey-derived compound used to condition skin and soften the outer layer so it feels smoother. It is one of the standard additions to a formula built for easily irritated skin. The panel names it fifteenth on this ampoule's list, beside Niacinamide.
Zinc PCAactive
Zinc PCA pairs zinc with the humectant PCA. It is used in oily and blemish-prone formulas for the look of shine and visible pores, and it hydrates at the same time. The panel names it twenty-seventh on this ampoule's list, beside Niacinamide.
Alpha-Arbutinactive
Alpha-Arbutin is a plant-derived compound, related to the sugar-bound form found in bearberry, used for the look of dark spots and uneven tone. It is stable in water and works at skin-friendly pH. The panel names it thirty-first on this ampoule's list, beside Niacinamide.
Where does this ampoule go in my routine?
After toner and before moisturizer, morning and evening. Anything thinner than an ampoule goes on before it, and anything richer goes on after. If you are adding it to a routine you already like, give it a week on its own first, so what you see is the Niacinamide and not three changes at once.
Is this the Korean-market ampoule or a US version?
The Korean-market one, Niacinamide and all. We match this ampoule to its Korean barcode before it reaches the shelf, which is the check that tells you which market release you are holding.
What else is on the list besides Niacinamide?
Tranexamic Acid, Allantoin and Zinc PCA. The order they are printed in on this ampoule's panel is the order on the box, so you can see where Niacinamide sits relative to them. Further down the same panel: Alpha-Arbutin, Dipotassium Glycyrrhizate and Methyl Diisopropyl Propionamide.

How to use
- Use it after your toner or essence, when the skin is still slightly damp.
- Take two or three drops, press them over the areas that need the work and then over the rest of the face.
- Seal it with your moisturiser, since an ampoule on its own leaves the surface a little tacky.
- Do not use it in place of your moisturiser, and do not start with a full pipette on skin that has not had it before.
Worth knowing
- Patch test this ampoule on a small area and wait a day before using it more widely, especially with Niacinamide on the list.
- Retinyl is on this list, so keep this ampoule to the evening and build the nights up slowly rather than starting nightly.
