How to use
- Use the Scalp Clinic Solution Conditioner on a clean, towel-dried scalp, in the evening.
- Apply a generous amount of conditioner to damp hair, focusing on mid-lengths to ends. Rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water. Use 2 to 3 times per week or as needed, depending on hair condition and type.
- It goes on after washing and before anything you style with. Nothing needs to go over it.
- Nightly, or on the evenings you wash. Do not rinse it out; a scalp treatment is a leave-on step.
Does this product contain added fragrance?
Yes. The ingredient list for Kerasys Scalp Clinic Solution Conditioner 750ml includes Fragrance. That is the label name for an added scent blend, whose individual components are not itemised beyond any allergens the label declares separately. The full list is printed in the Ingredients section of this page.
Are any declarable fragrance allergens listed?
No. None of the 26 fragrance components that EU cosmetic labelling requires to be named individually appear on the ingredient list for Kerasys Scalp Clinic Solution Conditioner 750ml. They are the components most often reported as contact allergens, which is why that rule names them one by one.
Does this product contain denatured or SD alcohol?
No. The ingredient list for Kerasys Scalp Clinic Solution Conditioner 750ml names no denatured alcohol, SD alcohol or ethanol. Fatty alcohols such as cetyl and cetearyl alcohol are a different class of ingredient, used as emollients and thickeners, and are not counted here.
Not on the ingredient list below: denatured or SD alcohol, essential oils, sulfate surfactants, mineral oil or petrolatum and added color.
Full INCI (13): Water, Cetearyl Alcohol, Behentrimonium Chloride, Dimethicone, Glycerin, Stearyl Alcohol, Fragrance, Citric Acid, Methylparaben, Propylparaben, Disodium EDTA, Tocopheryl Acetate, Silk Amino Acids

11 of 13 explained
- Water solvent
- Water is the base almost every serum, toner and cream is built on. It dissolves the water-loving ingredients and sets how light the finished texture feels. On an INCI list it is usually first, which only means it is the largest single ingredient by weight.
- Cetearyl Alcohol fatty alcohol
- Cetearyl Alcohol is a waxy solid, not the drying kind of alcohol. It is a blend of cetyl and stearyl alcohols used to thicken a cream and keep oil and water from separating, and it softens skin as it does so.
- Behentrimonium Chloride surfactant
- Behentrimonium Chloride is a positively charged conditioning agent. It is the main detangling ingredient in most hair conditioners, and it is not a cleanser.
- Dimethicone silicone
- Dimethicone is the most used cosmetic silicone. It forms a breathable film that smooths the surface, slows water leaving skin, and gives the slip that makes a primer or cream feel silky. It is inert and does not penetrate.
- Glycerin humectant
- Glycerin is the most used humectant in skincare. It draws water into the outer layer of skin and holds it there, and it is one of the very few ingredients whose hydrating effect is settled science rather than marketing. Higher amounts feel tacky, which is why it is usually blended.
- Stearyl Alcohol fatty alcohol
- Stearyl Alcohol is a solid fatty alcohol used to thicken and stabilise creams. Like the other fatty alcohols it is an emollient, not a solvent.
- Fragrance fragrance
- Fragrance, or Parfum, is a single declaration standing for a whole scent blend, which can be dozens of materials. Regulators allow it as a trade secret, so a list showing only this word does not say what the scent is made of. It is the most common trigger named by people with reactive skin.
- Citric Acid pH adjuster
- Citric Acid is used in tiny amounts to bring a formula to the pH its actives need, not as an exfoliant at that level. It is an AHA, so at much higher concentrations it can also exfoliate.
- Disodium EDTA chelator
- EDTA is a chelator: it locks up trace metal ions from water and packaging that would otherwise turn a formula cloudy, off-colour or rancid. It does nothing to skin and appears at a fraction of a percent.
- Tocopheryl Acetate antioxidant
- Tocopheryl Acetate is a stable vitamin E ester that skin converts to tocopherol. It is used as an antioxidant and a light emollient and holds up better than plain vitamin E in a formula.
- Silk Amino Acids amino acid
- Silk protein broken down to its amino acids, mostly glycine, alanine and serine. They hydrate and leave a smooth, soft finish.
