Cyclopentasiloxane silicone

Cyclopentasiloxane is a volatile silicone: it spreads a formula thin and smooth then evaporates, leaving no residue. It is the silicone behind a dry, powdery primer finish.

Cyclohexasiloxane silicone

Cyclohexasiloxane is a volatile silicone used for a light, fast-spreading feel that leaves nothing behind.

Isopropyl Myristate emollient

Isopropyl Myristate is a light ester emollient that absorbs fast and helps other ingredients penetrate. It is known to be poorly suited to blemish-prone skin at higher levels.

Dimethicone silicone

Hydrogenated Olive Oil Unsaponifiables barrier lipid

The fraction of olive oil that will not turn into soap, which is the sterols, squalene and vitamin E, concentrated and hardened. It is a rich barrier lipid.

Amodimethicone silicone

A silicone carrying a positive charge, so it is drawn to damaged hair and stays after rinsing. It is a conditioning silicone rather than a slip agent.

Persea Gratissima (Avocado) Oil emollient

Avocado oil, rich in oleic acid and plant sterols. It is one of the heavier plant oils, which suits dry skin and cleansing balms.

Argania Spinosa Kernel Oil emollient

Argan Oil is pressed from the argan kernel and is rich in oleic and linoleic acids plus vitamin E. It is a medium-weight emollient that absorbs reasonably fast.

Tocopheryl Acetate antioxidant

Tocopheryl Acetate is a stable vitamin E ester that skin converts to tocopherol. It is used as an antioxidant and a light emollient and holds up better than plain vitamin E in a formula.

Moringa Oleifera Seed Oil emollient

Moringa Seed Oil is high in oleic acid and behenic acid and very stable. It is a conditioning emollient with a light, non-sticky finish.
