How it works
Wonder Tear is a hair from LADOR. Its usual place in a Korean layering routine. What ships is the LADOR formula sold on shelves in Korea in this size, not a version reformulated for the US market.
Key benefits
- Wonder Tear is a hair from LADOR, taking the hair's usual place in a layered Korean routine.
- LADOR ships Wonder Tear here as the Korean-market formula, the same version sold on shelves in Korea, not a US-shelf reformulation.
- Sold with intact Korean-market barcode and batch coding rather than a US-retail relabel.
Inside the formula
Inside the formula
What conditions the hair in this formula?
Behentrimonium Chloride and Cetearyl Alcohol sit near the top of the ingredient list as the conditioning base, with Amodimethicone and Dimethicone for slip. Behind them are Hydrolyzed Silk, Ceramide NP, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract and a run of twenty free amino acids.
Does it contain fragrance?
Yes. Fragrance closes the ingredient list, and Benzyl Benzoate, Benzyl Salicylate, Hexyl Cinnamal and Linalool are named just ahead of it as the declared fragrance components.
Not on the ingredient list below: denatured or SD alcohol, essential oils, parabens, sulfate surfactants, mineral oil or petrolatum and added color.
Full INCI (36): Water, Dimethicone, Cetearyl Alcohol, Behentrimonium Chloride, Butylene Glycol, Propylene Glycol, Amodimethicone, C12-14 Sec-Pareth-7, Hydrolyzed Silk, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract, Ceramide NP, Arginine, Leucine, Tryptophan, Lysine, Isoleucine, Threonine, Methionine, Histidine, Asparagine, Alanine, Proline, Glutamic Acid, Glutamine, Glycine, Valine, Phenylalanine, Aspartic Acid, Tyrosine, Serine, Cystine, Benzyl Benzoate, Benzyl Salicylate, Hexyl Cinnamal, Linalool, Fragrance

34 of 36 explained
- Water solvent
- Water is the base almost every serum, toner and cream is built on. It dissolves the water-loving ingredients and sets how light the finished texture feels. On an INCI list it is usually first, which only means it is the largest single ingredient by weight.
- Dimethicone silicone
- Dimethicone is the most used cosmetic silicone. It forms a breathable film that smooths the surface, slows water leaving skin, and gives the slip that makes a primer or cream feel silky. It is inert and does not penetrate.
- Cetearyl Alcohol fatty alcohol
- Cetearyl Alcohol is a waxy solid, not the drying kind of alcohol. It is a blend of cetyl and stearyl alcohols used to thicken a cream and keep oil and water from separating, and it softens skin as it does so.
- Behentrimonium Chloride surfactant
- Behentrimonium Chloride is a positively charged conditioning agent. It is the main detangling ingredient in most hair conditioners, and it is not a cleanser.
- Butylene Glycol humectant
- Butylene Glycol is a small glycol that does two jobs at once: it holds water in the top layer of skin and it dissolves plant extracts and actives that plain water cannot. It also thins a formula, which is why watery Korean essences lean on it.
- Propylene Glycol humectant
- Propylene Glycol is a small glycol used as a humectant and solvent. It hydrates and helps actives dissolve; newer formulas often swap it for propanediol, which does the same job with a lighter feel.
- Amodimethicone silicone
- A silicone carrying a positive charge, so it is drawn to damaged hair and stays after rinsing. It is a conditioning silicone rather than a slip agent.
- Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract plant extract
- Aloe Leaf Extract is mostly water with polysaccharides, amino acids and mild plant acids. It hydrates and leaves a light, cooling film, which is why it is the default after-sun ingredient.
- Ceramide NP barrier lipid
- Ceramide NP is the most used cosmetic ceramide, the same class of lipid that makes up roughly half the mortar between cells in the outer layer of skin. Added to a cream it slots into that structure, which is why ceramide formulas feel less leaky rather than merely greasy.
- Arginine amino acid
- Arginine is an amino acid that does two jobs here: it holds water in the outer layer of skin, and it neutralises acidic gelling agents, which is why it often stands in for a synthetic pH adjuster.
- Leucine amino acid
- Leucine is an essential amino acid used as a humectant, part of the amino acid block many Korean essences carry.
- Tryptophan amino acid
- Tryptophan is an essential amino acid. On a label it is usually one of a set of amino acids added together as a conditioning, water-holding blend.
22 more explained
- Lysine amino acid
- Lysine is an essential amino acid used as a conditioning humectant in an amino acid complex.
- Isoleucine amino acid
- Isoleucine is an essential amino acid used as a conditioning humectant within an amino acid complex.
- Threonine amino acid
- Threonine is an essential amino acid used in skincare as a humectant, normally as part of an amino acid complex rather than alone.
- Methionine amino acid
- Methionine is a sulphur-bearing essential amino acid used as a humectant and mild antioxidant.
- Histidine amino acid
- Histidine is an amino acid used as a humectant and a buffer, part of skin's own free amino acid pool.
- Asparagine amino acid
- Asparagine is an amino acid used as a humectant and conditioner, almost always inside a wider amino acid blend rather than on its own.
- Alanine amino acid
- Alanine is a free amino acid skin uses as part of its own moisture-holding system. In a formula it hydrates and conditions.
- Proline amino acid
- Proline is an amino acid abundant in collagen and one of skin's own humectants. Added to a formula it holds water in the outer layer.
- Glutamic Acid amino acid
- Glutamic Acid is an amino acid used as a humectant and a mild pH adjuster. It is one of the components of skin's natural moisturising factor.
- Glutamine amino acid
- Glutamine is the most abundant free amino acid in the body. In a formula it hydrates and conditions, usually as part of an amino acid blend.
- Glycine amino acid
- Glycine is the smallest amino acid and one of the free amino acids skin holds to keep water in the outer layer. In a formula it is a humectant and a mild buffer.
- Valine amino acid
- Valine is an essential amino acid used as a humectant alongside the rest of an amino acid block.
- Phenylalanine amino acid
- Phenylalanine is an essential amino acid used in skincare as a conditioning humectant.
- Aspartic Acid amino acid
- Aspartic Acid is an amino acid used as a humectant and buffer, usually within a wider amino acid blend.
- Tyrosine amino acid
- Tyrosine is an amino acid used as a conditioning humectant in amino acid complexes.
- Serine amino acid
- Serine is one of the most abundant free amino acids in the outer layer of skin, where it helps hold water. Added to a formula it is a humectant.
- Cystine amino acid
- Cystine is two cysteine molecules joined by a sulphur bridge, the bond that gives keratin its strength. In a formula it is a conditioning amino acid.
- Benzyl Benzoate fragrance component
- Benzyl Benzoate is a faintly balsamic aromatic that also acts as a fixative, holding a fragrance on skin longer. It is one of the 26 declarable fragrance components.
- Benzyl Salicylate fragrance component
- Benzyl Salicylate is a faint floral aromatic that also holds a fragrance on skin longer. It is one of the 26 fragrance components EU labelling requires to be named.
- Hexyl Cinnamal fragrance component
- Hexyl Cinnamal is a jasmine-like aromatic. It is one of the 26 fragrance components EU labelling requires to be named individually.
- Linalool fragrance component
- Linalool is a floral aromatic found in lavender, bergamot and coriander. It is one of the 26 fragrance components EU labelling requires to be declared by name.
- Fragrance fragrance
- Fragrance, or Parfum, is a single declaration standing for a whole scent blend, which can be dozens of materials. Regulators allow it as a trade secret, so a list showing only this word does not say what the scent is made of. It is the most common trigger named by people with reactive skin.
