How it works

Urea leads the ingredient panel on this serum. Urea is one of the substances skin makes to hold its own water, part of the natural moisturising factor. At low levels it hydrates; at high levels it also softens hard, thickened skin. On this panel it sits alongside Adenosine, Acetyl Hexapeptide-8 and Copper Tripeptide-1. Adenosine is a nucleoside that Korea's own cosmetic authority recognises as a wrinkle-care functional ingredient, which is why it appears on so many Korean lists at a low level. It is used for the look of fine lines and is stable and well tolerated.

Key benefits

  • Urea named on this product's own ingredient panel, near the top of it
  • Adenosine on the same panel, the formula's active
  • Acetyl Hexapeptide-8 on the same panel, the formula's peptide
  • 110 ml to a unit
  • Korean GS1 barcode matched against a Korea sourcing supplier's record for this item

Key actives

Urea

Urea is one of the substances skin makes to hold its own water, part of the natural moisturising factor. At low levels it hydrates; at high levels it also softens hard, thickened skin.

Adenosine

Adenosine is a nucleoside that Korea's own cosmetic authority recognises as a wrinkle-care functional ingredient, which is why it appears on so many Korean lists at a low level. It is used for the look of fine lines and is stable and well tolerated.

Acetyl Hexapeptide-8

Acetyl Hexapeptide-8 is a six-amino-acid peptide used for the look of expression lines, particularly around the eyes. It is the peptide sold under the name Argireline and is water soluble and stable.

Copper Tripeptide-1

Copper Tripeptide-1 is three amino acids bound to a copper ion, and the classic firming peptide in cosmetic chemistry. It is blue in solution, which is often why a serum carrying it is tinted, and it is used for the look of firmness and fine lines.

How to use

  1. Use the Repair Milky Urea Glow Bubble Serum after toner and before moisturizer, morning and evening.
  2. Always shake well to thoroughly mix the cream and water layers. Apply a moderate amount to the skin along the skin texture and blend gently for absorption.
  3. Toner first so the surface is damp, then this, then about a minute before your moisturizer goes over the top.
  4. Twice a day, every day. Do not stack it with a second serum of the same kind; two hydrating serums in one routine do the work of one.

Worth knowing

  • Patch test on the inner arm 24 hours before adding this to your face or scalp, as with any new product.
