How it works

Calamine is named on the ingredient panel on this cleansing oil. Calamine is a mineral blend of zinc oxide with a trace of iron oxide, which is where its pale pink colour comes from. In a formula it is an absorbent mineral powder.

How to use

  1. Take two to three pumps of Calamine Pore Control Cleansing Oil 200ml into dry hands and massage over a dry face, working makeup and sunscreen loose.
  2. Add a small splash of water to emulsify the oil into a milky texture, then continue massaging for a few more seconds.
  3. Rinse fully, then follow with a water-based cleanser as the second half of the cleanse.
  4. Give Calamine Pore Control Cleansing Oil 200ml a moment to settle rather than layering the next product straight on top while it is still wet.

Worth knowing

  • Patch test on the inner arm before a first full application if you are trying a new Korean formula for the first time, since a fragrance or botanical extract that suits most skin can still be the one thing an individual complexion does not tolerate.
  • Introduce any new Korean-market formula on its own for the first few uses before layering it with the rest of an existing routine, so any reaction is easy to trace to a single product.
