How it works
The Nad+ Booster Shot is a 30ml serum, used after toner and before moisturizer, morning and evening. The active it is built around is Niacinamide, named tenth on its own ingredient list. The same list carries Guaiazulene, Adenosine and Adenosine Triphosphate, so the active is not the only thing on it worth naming. How much of the Niacinamide stays on the skin, and for how long, is decided by the serum format rather than by the list alone. This is the Original Korean Formula, the serum Arencia sells in Korea, Niacinamide and all.
Key benefits
- Niacinamide, the active this serum is built around
- Guaiazulene, Adenosine, Adenosine Triphosphate and Nicotinamide Adenine Dinucleotide on the same list, actives
- Nicotinamide Mononucleotide and Acetyl Hexapeptide-8 further down the same list
- Tripeptide-1 and Copper Tripeptide-1 further down the same list
- Niacinamide named tenth on the manufacturer list printed on this page
- The Korean-market release of this serum, confirmed against its Korean barcode
Key actives
Niacinamideactive
Niacinamide is vitamin B3, and it is the most studied active in Korean formulation. On this serum's own ingredient list it is named tenth.
Guaiazuleneactive
Guaiazulene is the deep blue compound distilled from chamomile and guaiac wood, and it is what colours a blue formula naturally. It is used for the look of reactive, reddened skin. It is named twenty-third on this serum's list, alongside Niacinamide.
Adenosineactive
Adenosine is a nucleoside that Korea's own cosmetic authority recognises as a wrinkle-care functional ingredient, which is why it appears on so many Korean lists at a low level. It is used for the look of fine lines and is stable and well tolerated. It is named twenty-fourth on this serum's list, alongside Niacinamide.
Adenosine Triphosphateactive
Adenosine Triphosphate is the molecule cells move energy around with. In a formula it is a conditioning nucleotide, related to the adenosine declared beside it. The panel names it thirty-third on this serum's list, beside Niacinamide.
Nicotinamide Adenine Dinucleotideactive
Nicotinamide Adenine Dinucleotide, usually written NAD, is a coenzyme every living cell carries, built from vitamin B3. In a formula it is used as a conditioning active at very low levels. The panel names it thirty-fourth on this serum's list, beside Niacinamide.
Where does this serum go in my routine?
After toner and before moisturizer, morning and evening. Anything thinner than a serum goes on before it, and anything richer goes on after. If you are adding it to a routine you already like, give it a week on its own first, so what you see is the Niacinamide and not three changes at once.
Is this the Korean-market serum or a US version?
The Korean-market one, Niacinamide and all. We match this serum to its Korean barcode before it reaches the shelf, which is the check that tells you which market release you are holding.
What else is on the list besides Niacinamide?
Guaiazulene, Adenosine and Adenosine Triphosphate. The order they are printed in on this serum's panel is the order on the box, so you can see where Niacinamide sits relative to them. Further down the same panel: Nicotinamide Adenine Dinucleotide, Nicotinamide Mononucleotide and Acetyl Hexapeptide-8.

How to use
- Use the Nad+ Booster Shot after toner and before moisturizer, morning and evening.
- Apply an appropriate amount on clean skin before the moisturizer step of skincare routine. Gently tap to aid absorption.
- Toner first so the surface is damp, then this, then about a minute before your moisturizer goes over the top.
- Twice a day, every day. Do not stack it with a second serum of the same kind; two hydrating serums in one routine do the work of one.
Worth knowing
- Patch test this serum on a small area and wait a day before using it more widely, especially with Niacinamide on the list.
- Introduce this serum on its own for the first week, so anything your skin does is traceable to the Niacinamide rather than to three changes at once.
