How to use
- Take one sheet from the Clean it Zero Mandarin-C VEGAN cleansing Tissue and use it on dry skin as the first evening cleanse, before any water.
- Pull out one tissue and gently wipe makeup from the center of the face outward. Rinse with lukewarm water if desired, then close the cap immediately after removing a tissue.
- Follow with a water-based cleanser and then your toner. A wipe is a first pass, not the whole wash.
- Once a day, in the evening, and on the days you are away from a basin. Do not go over the same area again and again with a dry sheet; reach for a fresh one instead.
Does this product contain added fragrance?
Yes. The ingredient list for BANILA CO Clean it Zero Mandarin-C VEGAN cleansing Tissue (80 Wipes) includes Fragrance. That is the label name for an added scent blend, whose individual components are not itemised beyond any allergens the label declares separately. The full list is printed in the Ingredients section of this page.
Are any declarable fragrance allergens listed?
No. None of the 26 fragrance components that EU cosmetic labelling requires to be named individually appear on the ingredient list for BANILA CO Clean it Zero Mandarin-C VEGAN cleansing Tissue (80 Wipes). They are the components most often reported as contact allergens, which is why that rule names them one by one.
Does this product contain denatured or SD alcohol?
No. The ingredient list for BANILA CO Clean it Zero Mandarin-C VEGAN cleansing Tissue (80 Wipes) names no denatured alcohol, SD alcohol or ethanol. Fatty alcohols such as cetyl and cetearyl alcohol are a different class of ingredient, used as emollients and thickeners, and are not counted here.

16 of 21 explained
- Ethylhexyl Palmitate emollient
- Ethylhexyl Palmitate is a palm-derived ester used as a light emollient and a solvent for pigment. It gives a smooth, non-greasy slip.
- Cetyl Ethylhexanoate emollient
- Cetyl Ethylhexanoate is a synthetic ester used as a dry-feeling emollient. It spreads easily, leaves a silky rather than oily finish, and helps disperse pigments and UV filters evenly.
- PEG-20 Glyceryl Triisostearate emulsifier
- A nonionic emulsifier built on glycerin and branched fatty acids. Cleansing oils and balms use it so they emulsify the moment water is added.
- PEG-10 Isostearate emulsifier
- A nonionic emulsifier made by attaching a short polyethylene glycol chain to a branched fatty acid. It keeps oil dispersed in water.
- Synthetic Wax occlusive
- Synthetic Wax is a purpose-built hydrocarbon wax used to structure balms and sticks. It is odourless and does not oxidise, unlike most natural waxes.
- Phenoxyethanol preservative
- Phenoxyethanol is the most widely used cosmetic preservative outside the paraben family. It keeps a water-containing formula from growing bacteria and mould, and is capped at one percent in most markets, so it always sits low on a list.
- Butylene Glycol humectant
- Butylene Glycol is a small glycol that does two jobs at once: it holds water in the top layer of skin and it dissolves plant extracts and actives that plain water cannot. It also thins a formula, which is why watery Korean essences lean on it.
- Lithospermum Erythrorhizon Root Extract plant extract
- Purple gromwell root, long used in Korean and Chinese herbal practice. The root is deep red-purple, so it colours a formula, and it is used for the look of reactive skin.
- Tocopheryl Acetate antioxidant
- Tocopheryl Acetate is a stable vitamin E ester that skin converts to tocopherol. It is used as an antioxidant and a light emollient and holds up better than plain vitamin E in a formula.
- Fragrance fragrance
- Fragrance, or Parfum, is a single declaration standing for a whole scent blend, which can be dozens of materials. Regulators allow it as a trade secret, so a list showing only this word does not say what the scent is made of. It is the most common trigger named by people with reactive skin.
- Ethylhexylglycerin preservative booster
- Ethylhexylglycerin softens skin and boosts a preservative system, which is why it is nearly always sitting beside phenoxyethanol or 1,2-hexanediol. It also cuts down the odour bacteria produce, so it turns up in deodorising products.
- Water solvent
- Water is the base almost every serum, toner and cream is built on. It dissolves the water-loving ingredients and sets how light the finished texture feels. On an INCI list it is usually first, which only means it is the largest single ingredient by weight.
4 more explained
- 1,2-Hexanediol humectant
- 1,2-Hexanediol is a glycol used for two reasons: it holds water like glycerin, and it makes a formula harder for microbes to live in, so less traditional preservative is needed. Korean formulas use it heavily for that second reason.
- Aspalathus Linearis Extract plant extract
- Rooibos extract, from the South African red bush. It carries aspalathin and other flavonoids and no caffeine, and it is used as a plant antioxidant.
- Malpighia Glabra (Acerola) Fruit Extract plant extract
- Acerola cherry extract, from the species also written Malpighia emarginata. The fruit is unusually high in vitamin C, and the extract is used as an antioxidant botanical.
- Acrylates/Ammonium Methacrylate Copolymer film former
- A synthetic copolymer used as a film former and a suspending agent. It sets to a flexible film, which is what holds a peel off or long wearing formula together.
