How it works
Panax Ginseng Root Water opens the ingredient list ahead of plain water, the ginseng the name refers to, and Collagen Water follows soon after for a conditioning role. Chondrus Crispus and Algin, both seaweed derived, give the patch its gel like sheet structure, and Hydrolyzed Collagen and Glucomannan sit mid list for further conditioning support. Adenosine appears alongside Dipotassium Glycyrrhizate and Allantoin, a calming trio positioned ahead of the two ingredients furthest down the active portion of the list, Bakuchiol and Retinal. Retinal is a vitamin A derivative related to retinol but generally considered a faster acting form, and Bakuchiol is a plant derived ingredient often used alongside retinoids. Because both sit near the end of the ingredient list, this patch pairs Retinal with the gentler Bakuchiol rather than relying on Retinal by itself.
Key benefits
- Retinal: A faster acting vitamin A derivative positioned near the end of the ingredient list alongside Bakuchiol.
- Bakuchiol: A plant derived ingredient paired directly with Retinal in the same formula.
- Panax Ginseng Root Water: Leads the ingredient list as the patch's primary carrier fluid.
- Collagen Water and Hydrolyzed Collagen: A conditioning pairing supporting the eye area.
- Fragrance free: No parfum ingredient appears on this patch's own ingredient list.
Key actives
Retinal
A vitamin A derivative related to retinol but generally considered a faster acting form, positioned near the end of the ingredient list alongside Bakuchiol rather than used by itself.
Bakuchiol
A plant derived ingredient frequently paired with retinoids, sitting directly alongside Retinal in this formula as a complementary rather than competing ingredient.
Panax Ginseng Root Water
This ginseng water leads the ingredient list ahead of plain water, the ingredient the product's name refers to, functioning as the patch's primary carrier fluid.
Adenosine
Sitting alongside Dipotassium Glycyrrhizate and Allantoin, adenosine is part of a calming ingredient trio positioned ahead of the stronger actives further down the list.
What is the difference between retinal and retinol?
Both are vitamin A derivatives, but retinal is generally considered to convert to its active form faster than retinol does, which is why it is often introduced more cautiously. In this patch it sits alongside Bakuchiol rather than by itself.
How often should I use these eye patches?
Two to three evenings a week is a sensible starting frequency, especially if you have not used a retinoid around the eyes before. Everyone's skin adjusts to retinal at a different pace, so build up frequency gradually rather than starting nightly.
How long do I leave the patches on?
Twenty to thirty minutes is the typical range for this kind of gel patch. Remove them once that time has passed, gently pat in any remaining essence, and follow with your regular eye cream or moisturizer.
Can I wear these patches during the day?
They are formulated as an evening treatment, applied after toner and removed after twenty to thirty minutes rather than left on or worn under makeup. Retinal containing products are conventionally used at night.
Does this eye patch contain fragrance?
No parfum or fragrance ingredient appears on this patch's own ingredient list. Any scent noticed comes from the ginseng water and other extracts in the formula rather than an added fragrance compound.

How to use
- Use the Revive Under Eye Patch Ginseng + Retinal in the evening, after toner, on clean skin under each eye.
- Use the spatula to gently lift the patches and apply them on where concerned. Leave the patches on for 20 to 30 minutes. Remove the patches and gently pat for better absorption.
- Toner first so the skin is clean and slightly damp. Take the patches off at the time the pack gives, pat in what is left, then carry on to your cream.
- Two or three evenings a week. Do not reuse a patch or leave one on overnight; once the essence has gone the sheet works against the skin it is sitting on.
Worth knowing
- Retinal is generally considered a faster acting vitamin A derivative than retinol, so use these patches two to three evenings a week at first rather than nightly, especially if you have not used a retinoid around the eyes before.
- Keep the patches on the orbital bone rather than directly on the eyelid or too close to the lash line, since that thinner skin is more likely to react to a retinal containing product.
