How it works
An ampoule is the most concentrated thin step, and a few drops cover the face. It presses in without a film, so a cream can follow inside a minute. That is the difference from a cream, which is built mostly to hold what is already there rather than to concentrate one job into a thin layer. Its place is after the toner and before the moisturizer, on skin that is still slightly damp. What you can judge yourself is how the skin looks and feels a few minutes later, and how it behaves under the rest of the routine.

Centella Asiatica Extract

Saccharomyces Ferment Filtrate
A yeast ferment filtrate (galactomyces-adjacent), used for its conditioning effect on dull, uneven texture. As a fermentation byproduct it is doing conditioning work distinct from the plain botanicals and humectants elsewhere on the list.

Glycerin, a foundational humectant that pulls atmospheric moisture into the surface and keeps the rest of the formula from feeling tacky or heavy.

It is a calming ampoule in a 30ml bottle, made for skin that looks red and wants a calm concentrated step. A moisturizer cannot do the same thing here, because it is spread thicker and does more general work. You can judge it on how quickly it settles and how the face looks once the cream is on over it.
Where in my routine does this go?
After the watery step and before the moisturizer. The order that works is thinnest to thickest, so cleanser, then toner, then this, then cream, then sunscreen in the morning. Apply it while the face is still slightly damp. If you use more than one serum, put the thinnest one on first and give each a moment to settle.
How much should I use?
Three or four drops, or a dab about the size of a small pea, is enough for a whole face. Press it in rather than rubbing, working from the centre outward. Twice a day is normal, morning and night. Using more per application will not do more; it will mostly sit on the surface and transfer onto your collar.
Can I layer this with my other serums?
Yes, as long as you go thinnest to thickest and give each layer a few seconds. Put the most watery product on first, then this, then anything richer. Two serums doing the same job is redundant rather than harmful. If a layer feels wet, wait rather than piling the next one on top of it.

- Use it twice a day after the watery step, on a clean face and before any cream.
- Warm a small amount between the fingertips first, then press it over the cheeks, forehead and chin.
- Give it thirty seconds to settle before the next layer goes on, which is what keeps anything from balling up.
- Avoid applying it to skin that is completely dry after a long gap, since a thin layer spreads much further on damp skin.

- Patch test on a small area of the jaw first if your skin reacts easily to something new.
