beplain is a gentle-formulation brand and the Mung Bean cleansing range is what it is known for: a pH-balanced foam in 80ml and 160ml, a cleansing oil, a clay pack and a milk peeling gel. The pH claim on the front is the brand's argument, and a low-pH wash leaves skin less tight than a high-pH one.
The Cicaterol and Cicaful lines are the treatment side, covering ampoules, a toner, a moisturizer, a capsule barrier cream, blemish pads and a spot treatment. Sodium hyaluronate, allantoin, centella asiatica and panthenol lead the actives, and the Sunmuse range includes a mineral-only option.
Mung Bean or Cicaterol?
Mung Bean is the cleansing decision and Cicaterol is the treatment one, so most people end up with one of each rather than choosing. Inside cleansing, the foam is the everyday second cleanse and the 80ml is the size to test with. Inside Cicaterol, the ampoule and the spot treatment are for active congestion and the capsule barrier cream is for afterwards, when skin is recovering and feels thin. The BHA Peeling Ampoule is an acid step and does not stack with the blemish pads.
Is a printed pH a real claim or a marketing one?
It is real and it is checkable, which is unusual on a cleanser. Skin sits around pH 5, a traditional soap-based foam sits well above it, and the difference is why one wash leaves you tight and another does not. Korean brands print this figure because domestic shoppers ask for it, and it is one of the few front-of-box numbers on a cleanser that means something. The listings here carry the Korean unit, barcode and all.
