The Collagen Cleansing Oil is a 200ml cleansing oil, used as the first of two evening cleanses, on dry skin and dry hands, before any water reaches the face. The protein it is built around is Collagen Extract, named twenty-third on its own ingredient list. The same list carries Acetyl Hexapeptide-8, Oligopeptide-1 and Copper Tripeptide-1, so the protein is not the only thing on it worth naming. How much of the Collagen Extract stays on the skin, and for how long, is decided by the cleansing oil format rather than by the list alone. How to use
- Use the Collagen Cleansing Oil as the first of two evening cleanses, on dry skin and dry hands, before any water touches the face.
- Two or three pumps, massaged over dry skin for a full minute so sunscreen and makeup have time to loosen.
- Add a little water and keep massaging until it turns milky, rinse, then follow with a water-based cleanser; that second wash is what takes the oil off.
- Once a day, in the evening. Do not use it as your morning cleanse, when there is nothing on the face that needs an oil to lift it.
