How it works

The skin around the eyes carries almost no oil glands and is roughly a third the thickness of skin on the rest of the face, so it loses water fastest and shows strain first. Collagen Peptide Eye Patches leads with Palmitoyl Tripeptide-1, a signal peptide from the matrixyl family, used for its skin-conditioning role in firming-positioned formulas. It is joined by Palmitoyl Pentapeptide-4, a five-amino-acid signal peptide included for its conditioning role in firming-positioned formulas. Further down the list, Palmitoyl Tripeptide-5 rounds out the formula as a palmitoyl-conjugated tripeptide used in Korean serums as a skin-conditioning signal peptide. Used consistently as part of a full routine, this is where Biodance's formula earns its place rather than as a one-off treatment.

Key benefits

  • Built around Palmitoyl Tripeptide-1, Palmitoyl Pentapeptide-4, named on this product's own ingredient list
  • Targets the thinnest, most dehydration-prone skin on the face
  • A cooling, de-puffing feel on application
  • Lightweight enough to sit under concealer without pilling
  • Formulated separately from face products for a gentler eye-area profile

How to use

  1. Use the Collagen Peptide Eye Patches after your serum and before your moisturizer, on clean dry skin.
  2. One patch under each eye, pressed on so the whole edge lies flat rather than tenting away from the skin.
  3. Leave them on for the time printed on the pack, lift them off, then pat in what they left rather than rinsing.
  4. Two or three times a week is a normal rhythm. Do not reuse a patch and do not sleep in one, because a sheet that has dried out takes moisture back off the skin.

Worth knowing

  • Skin that is actively broken out or irritated does best starting this once daily before moving to twice.
  • Anyone using a prescription retinoid or a strong acid exfoliant elsewhere in their routine should introduce this alongside it gradually.
