How it works

The 360° Shot PDRN Lifting Eye Cream is a 30ml eye cream, used after serum and before moisturizer, morning and evening. The active it is built around is Sodium DNA, named seventeenth on its own ingredient list. The same list carries Niacinamide, Asiaticoside and Madecassic Acid, so the active is not the only thing on it worth naming. How much of the Sodium DNA stays on the skin, and for how long, is decided by the eye cream format rather than by the list alone. This is the Original Korean Formula, the eye cream Centellian24 sells in Korea, Sodium DNA and all.

Key benefits

  • Sodium DNA, the active this eye cream is built around
  • Niacinamide, Asiaticoside, Madecassic Acid and Asiatic Acid on the same list, actives
  • Hydroxypinacolone Retinoate and Retinol further down the same list
  • Retinyl Palmitate and Retinal further down the same list
  • Sodium DNA named seventeenth on the manufacturer list printed on this page
  • Sourced for the Korean market, not a US-shelf reformulation of this eye cream

Key actives

Sodium DNAactive

Sodium DNA is the salt of DNA, in Korean skincare almost always salmon derived, and it is the ingredient behind the PDRN category. It is used as a humectant and for the look of tired skin; the fragments themselves are what the name PDRN refers to. It is the entry this eye cream is named after, and the list carries it.

Niacinamideactive

Niacinamide is vitamin B3, and it is the most studied active in Korean formulation. It is named seventh on this eye cream's list, alongside Sodium DNA.

Asiaticosideactive

Asiaticoside is one of the four active triterpenes isolated from centella and the most studied of them. Korean formulas name it separately when they want to show which fraction of the plant they standardised. The panel names it fourteenth on this eye cream's list, beside Sodium DNA.

Madecassic Acidactive

Madecassic Acid is the fourth centella triterpene. A list that names all four is telling you the extract was standardised rather than simply pressed, which is the difference between a cica claim and a cica formula. The panel names it fifteenth on this eye cream's list, beside Sodium DNA.

Asiatic Acidactive

Asiatic Acid is the third of centella's four triterpenes and the aglycone form, meaning it has no attached sugar. It is oil soluble, so it turns up in cica creams and balms more than in watery layers. It is named sixteenth on this eye cream's list, alongside Sodium DNA.

How to use

  1. Use it in the evening only, after your serum and before your face cream.
  2. A small amount warmed on a fingertip, tapped along the orbital bone rather than up to the lash line.
  3. Tap it in with the ring finger, because that is the finger least likely to drag the skin.
  4. Start at two evenings a week and build up. There are retinoids on this list, so do not pair it with another one.

Worth knowing

  • Patch test this eye cream on a small area and wait a day before using it more widely, especially with Sodium DNA on the list.
  • This list names Citronellol, Fragrance and Limonene, so skip it if fragrance components are something you avoid.
  • Hydroxypinacolone Retinoate is on this list, so keep this eye cream to the evening and build the nights up slowly rather than starting nightly.
