How it works
An overnight lip mask is a texture decision before it is anything else: it has to stay in place for hours without being licked or blotted away. This is the butter in COSRX's Balancium line, dense enough to sit on the lips through the night rather than sink in and disappear. It goes on last, after the evening routine, in a layer thick enough to see. Lips carry no oil glands of their own, so overnight they lose water to the air unless something is over them. Nightly, or on the nights lips feel tight, and the leftover on a fingertip is worth putting on dry cuticles.

What does this lip sleeping mask do?
Shea butter sits second on the ingredient list, just after bis-diglyceryl polyacyladipate-2, with coconut, castor and jojoba oils and mango seed butter following further down. Ceramide NP and phytosphingosine close out the list, supporting the feel of a smoother lip surface. This is a leave-on overnight step for lips that end the day feeling dry.
Is this too rich for sensitive lips overnight?
The list contains no fragrance, essential oil, denatured alcohol or added colourant, keeping the formula relatively plain for lips prone to reacting.
