How to use
- Use the Anti-Hair Loss Hair Cushion (Natural Black) after shampooing, on hair towelled to damp rather than dripping.
- Open the cap and remove the plastic lid. Pat a small amount onto areas that need coverage.
- Shampoo first, this second. Leave it for the time the pack gives, then rinse.
- Once or twice a week. Do not work it into the roots; a treatment weighs down the one part of the hair that does not need it.
Does this product contain added fragrance?
No. Neither fragrance nor parfum appears on the ingredient list for DASHU Anti-Hair Loss Hair Cushion (Natural Black) 16g. Those are the two names a cosmetic label uses for an added scent blend, so a formula carrying one would name it. The full list is printed in the Ingredients section of this page.
Are any declarable fragrance allergens listed?
No. None of the 26 fragrance components that EU cosmetic labelling requires to be named individually appear on the ingredient list for DASHU Anti-Hair Loss Hair Cushion (Natural Black) 16g. They are the components most often reported as contact allergens, which is why that rule names them one by one.
Does this product contain denatured or SD alcohol?
No. The ingredient list for DASHU Anti-Hair Loss Hair Cushion (Natural Black) 16g names no denatured alcohol, SD alcohol or ethanol. Fatty alcohols such as cetyl and cetearyl alcohol are a different class of ingredient, used as emollients and thickeners, and are not counted here.
Not on the ingredient list below: fragrance or parfum, denatured or SD alcohol, essential oils, silicones, parabens, sulfate surfactants and mineral oil or petrolatum.

27 of 34 explained
- Iron Oxides (CI 77499) colorant
- Iron Oxides are mineral pigments in red, yellow and black, and the three are blended to make every skin-tone shade in a tinted product. They are inert and sit on the surface.
- Kaolin absorbent
- Kaolin is white clay, the mildest of the cosmetic clays. It absorbs oil and lifts loose debris from the surface without stripping, which is why it is the clay used on drier skin.
- Silica absorbent
- Silica is finely milled mineral, essentially very pure sand. It absorbs oil, stops powders clumping and soft-focuses the look of pores and fine lines.
- Triethylhexanoin emollient
- Triethylhexanoin is a light ester emollient that softens skin and disperses pigment. It absorbs cleanly and is often used to thin a heavy oil phase.
- Diisostearyl Malate emollient
- Diisostearyl Malate is a thick, glossy ester used to hold pigment in suspension and give a cushioned shine. It is the standard emollient in lip products.
- Chlorphenesin preservative
- A preservative effective against bacteria, yeast and mould across a wide pH range, which is why it appears where a single milder preservative cannot cover the formula.
- Ethylhexylglycerin preservative booster
- Ethylhexylglycerin softens skin and boosts a preservative system, which is why it is nearly always sitting beside phenoxyethanol or 1,2-hexanediol. It also cuts down the odour bacteria produce, so it turns up in deodorising products.
- Caprylyl Glycol preservative booster
- Caprylyl Glycol is a glycol that conditions skin and, more importantly, strengthens a preservative system so less of the traditional preservative is needed. It appears in most modern formulas built without parabens.
- Water solvent
- Water is the base almost every serum, toner and cream is built on. It dissolves the water-loving ingredients and sets how light the finished texture feels. On an INCI list it is usually first, which only means it is the largest single ingredient by weight.
- Rose Extract plant extract
- A rose extract declared by common name, with neither species nor plant part stated. Rose extracts carry polyphenols and aromatic compounds and are used as conditioning botanicals.
- Leontopodium Alpinum Extract plant extract
- Edelweiss extract, from a plant that survives high-altitude sun and cold. It carries leontopodic acid and is used as a plant antioxidant.
- Jasminum Officinale (Jasmine) Extract plant extract
- Jasmine extract, from the flower. It is used as a conditioning plant extract and contributes its own scent.
15 more explained
- Butylene Glycol humectant
- Butylene Glycol is a small glycol that does two jobs at once: it holds water in the top layer of skin and it dissolves plant extracts and actives that plain water cannot. It also thins a formula, which is why watery Korean essences lean on it.
- Glycerin humectant
- Glycerin is the most used humectant in skincare. It draws water into the outer layer of skin and holds it there, and it is one of the very few ingredients whose hydrating effect is settled science rather than marketing. Higher amounts feel tacky, which is why it is usually blended.
- Pearl Powder protein
- Pearl Extract is ground pearl treated so its calcium carbonate and protein fractions disperse. It is used as a mineral-and-protein conditioning ingredient with a faint light-scattering effect.
- 1,2-Hexanediol humectant
- 1,2-Hexanediol is a glycol used for two reasons: it holds water like glycerin, and it makes a formula harder for microbes to live in, so less traditional preservative is needed. Korean formulas use it heavily for that second reason.
- Perilla Frutescens Leaf Extract plant extract
- Kkaennip, the perilla leaf eaten across Korea. Its extract carries rosmarinic acid and is used as an antioxidant conditioning extract.
- Houttuynia Cordata Extract plant extract
- Houttuynia Cordata is heartleaf, and it is one of the two or three anchor plants of Korean calming skincare. Its extract carries quercitrin and other flavonoids and is used for the look of redness and blemish-prone skin.
- Glycine Soja (Soybean) Seed Extract plant extract
- Soybean Seed Extract carries isoflavones, plant sterols and soy proteins. It is used as a conditioning antioxidant extract.
- Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary) Extract plant extract
- Rosemary extract with the plant part unstated. Rosemary carries rosmarinic and carnosic acid, and it is also used to keep the oils in a formula from going rancid.
- Paeonia Albiflora Root Extract plant extract
- White peony root extract, from the same plant also written Paeonia lactiflora. The root is the part used in East Asian herbal practice and carries paeoniflorin and tannins.
- Panax Ginseng Root Extract plant extract
- Ginseng Root Extract is the signature ingredient of Korean traditional skincare, carrying ginsenosides. It is used for the look of tired, dull skin, and brands often ferment it to break the ginsenosides into smaller forms.
- Acorus Calamus Root Extract plant extract
- Sweet flag root extract, an aromatic wetland rhizome long used in Korean herbal practice. It is a conditioning plant extract.
- Hydrolyzed Collagen protein
- Hydrolyzed Collagen is collagen broken into fragments small enough to dissolve in water. It cannot become collagen in skin; what it does is hold water at the surface and leave a smooth, conditioned film.
- Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract plant extract
- Aloe Leaf Extract is mostly water with polysaccharides, amino acids and mild plant acids. It hydrates and leaves a light, cooling film, which is why it is the default after-sun ingredient.
- Morus Alba Bark Extract plant extract
- White mulberry bark extract, one of the classic East Asian plant ingredients used for the look of uneven tone. It carries mulberroside and flavonoids.
- Glycyrrhiza Glabra (Licorice) Root Extract plant extract
- Licorice Root Extract carries glabridin and liquiritin. It is one of the classic plant ingredients used for the look of uneven tone and redness, and it appears in almost every brightening formula that avoids synthetic actives.
