Mica (CI 77019) colorant

Mica is a mineral ground into fine flakes. It scatters light, so it lightens a shade and gives the soft glow of a tinted or illuminating product.

Polymethyl Methacrylate absorbent

Polymethyl Methacrylate is an acrylic polymer used as fine spheres. They give a smooth, powdery slip and blur the look of surface texture.

Iron Oxide Yellow (CI 77492) colorant

Iron Oxides are mineral pigments in red, yellow and black, and the three are blended to make every skin-tone shade in a tinted product. They are inert and sit on the surface.

Calcium Aluminum Borosilicate colorant

A glass flake used as the carrier for high-shine pearl pigments. It is inert and sits on the surface.

Bis-Diglyceryl Polyacyladipate-2 emollient

Bis-Diglyceryl Polyacyladipate-2 is a thick synthetic emollient built to mimic the lipids in skin's own surface. It is used in balms for a cushioned, sealing feel.

Diisostearyl Malate emollient

Diisostearyl Malate is a thick, glossy ester used to hold pigment in suspension and give a cushioned shine. It is the standard emollient in lip products.

Triethylhexanoin emollient

Triethylhexanoin is a light ester emollient that softens skin and disperses pigment. It absorbs cleanly and is often used to thin a heavy oil phase.

Synthetic Fluorphlogopite colorant

Synthetic mica, grown rather than mined, which makes it purer and more transparent than the natural mineral. It scatters light and carries pearlescent pigments.
