How it works

The Rapid Hypochlorous Acid Rescue Mist is a 100ml mist, used at any point in the day, over bare skin or over makeup. The active it is built around is Zinc PCA, named fourteenth on its own ingredient list. The same list carries Eucalyptus Globulus Leaf Extract and Glycereth-25 PCA Isostearate, so the active is not the only thing on it worth naming. How much of the Zinc PCA stays on the skin, and for how long, is decided by the mist format rather than by the list alone. Dr.Althea sells this Zinc PCA mist in Korea, and this is that version.

How to use

  1. Use the Rapid Hypochlorous Acid Rescue Mist at any point in the day, over bare skin or over makeup.
  2. Hold it about a hand's width from the face, mist twice, then press it in with your palms.
  3. On a bare face it sits after cleansing and before toner. Over makeup it goes on last, and it is patted, never rubbed.
  4. As often as skin feels dry. Do not leave a mist to dry on its own; water leaving the surface takes some of the skin's own with it.

Worth knowing

  • Patch test this mist on a small area and wait a day before using it more widely, especially with Zinc PCA on the list.
  • Introduce this mist on its own for the first week, so anything your skin does is traceable to the Zinc PCA rather than to three changes at once.
