How it works

Medicube TXA Niacinamide Capsule Cream is a capsule cream built for the last step of a routine, over serum. Its ingredient list leads with Niacinamide, Adenosine, and Tranexamic Acid, so the formula's stated purpose lines up with what actually sits near the top of that list rather than with a single marketing ingredient buried further down. Niacinamide does the most work here as a tone and texture, and the remaining actives round out the texture and finish rather than compete for attention. Placed as the last step of a routine, over serum, it is meant to be used AM/PM rather than swapped freely between steps. Because this is the Korean-market version of the TXA Niacinamide Capsule Cream line rather than a US-reformulated variant, the texture and finish match what Medicube sells through Korean retail.

Key benefits

  • Built around Niacinamide, positioned for tone and texture.
  • Built around Adenosine, positioned for firming look.
  • Built around Tranexamic Acid, positioned for tone.
  • Formulated as a capsule cream for the last step of a routine, over serum.
  • The Korean-market Medicube formula for TXA Niacinamide Capsule Cream, matching what Medicube sells in Korea rather than a US-reformulated line.

Key actives

NiacinamideTone and texture

Niacinamide sits near the top of the ingredient list, where the formula puts its heaviest-weighted ingredients. It is an ingredient chosen for tone and texture: a form of vitamin B3 that supports a more even-looking tone and a smoother surface texture with regular use, and layers comfortably under most other actives.

AdenosineFirming look

Adenosine sits in the middle stretch of the ingredient list, a supporting rather than a headline role. It is an ingredient chosen for firming look: a nucleoside included for its reputation in smoothing the look of fine expression lines, one of the more established anti-aging ingredients in Korean formulation.

Tranexamic AcidTone

Tranexamic Acid sits in the middle stretch of the ingredient list, a supporting rather than a headline role. It is an ingredient chosen for tone: an ingredient increasingly used in Korean brightening formulas alongside niacinamide, chosen for its reputation on the look of stubborn discoloration.

PanthenolComfort

Panthenol sits further down the ingredient list, in a supporting, lower-weighted role. It is an ingredient chosen for comfort: provitamin B5, a humectant and comfort ingredient that softens the finish and helps a formula feel less drying over repeated use.

GlutathioneBrightening

Glutathione sits further down the ingredient list, in a supporting, lower-weighted role. It is an ingredient chosen for brightening: an antioxidant tripeptide with a following in Korean brightening formulas, included here to support a more even, less sallow-looking finish.

How to use

  1. AM and PM, after water-based layers and before sunscreen. The niacinamide and 3-O-ethyl ascorbic acid support a clearer-looking tone, so morning application pairs with a UV filter.
  2. Break the capsule into the gel base and mix until the texture unifies. Apply a pea-sized amount to the face. Press it over the skin, do not rub: rubbing drags the capsule oils into a film before they can integrate with the gel base.
  3. Start with three applications a week, then increase to daily as the skin adjusts to the niacinamide and alpha-arbutin.
  4. Seal it with a moisturizer if the skin feels dry, and always follow with sunscreen in the morning.

Worth knowing

  • Patch test on the inner arm before the first full-face application, especially on skin that reacts easily to new products.
  • Stop use and rinse off if stinging, burning, or new redness shows up rather than pushing through discomfort.
