How to use
- Use it first, on a dry face and dry hands, before any water is involved.
- Scoop a fingertip's worth, warm it in the palm until it turns to oil, then massage for a full minute.
- Add water, keep massaging until it turns milky, then rinse and follow with a foaming cleanser.
- Every evening you have worn sunscreen or makeup. Do not put wet fingers or a wet spatula into the jar.

- Ethylhexyl Palmitate is a palm-derived ester used as a light emollient and a solvent for pigment. It gives a smooth, non-greasy slip.
- Cetyl Ethylhexanoate emollient
- Cetyl Ethylhexanoate is a synthetic ester used as a dry-feeling emollient. It spreads easily, leaves a silky rather than oily finish, and helps disperse pigments and UV filters evenly.
- Sorbeth-30 Tetraoleate emulsifier
- Sorbeth-30 Tetraoleate is an emulsifier used in cleansing oils so the oil can be rinsed off with water rather than wiped away.
- Synthetic Wax occlusive
- Synthetic Wax is a purpose-built hydrocarbon wax used to structure balms and sticks. It is odourless and does not oxidise, unlike most natural waxes.
- Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride emollient
- Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride is the light fraction of coconut oil, with the heavy parts removed. It is the workhorse emollient of modern formulas: it softens skin, dissolves oil-soluble actives and absorbs without the greasy weight of a whole plant oil.
- Persea Gratissima (Avocado) Oil emollient
- Avocado oil, rich in oleic acid and plant sterols. It is one of the heavier plant oils, which suits dry skin and cleansing balms.
