How it works
Sea Water leads the ingredient panel on this serum. Sea Water is filtered and desalinated seawater used in place of plain water. It carries magnesium, calcium and potassium, so it brings the mineral balance of the base closer to skin's own. On this panel it sits alongside Tremella Fuciformis (Mushroom) Extract, Salicornia Herbacea Extract and Laminaria Japonica Extract. Tremella Fuciformis is snow mushroom. Its polysaccharide holds even more water than hyaluronic acid for its weight, which is why it appears in hydrating Korean formulas as a plant alternative.
How to use
- Use it after toner and before moisturizer, morning and night, on skin that is still wet.
- Three or four drops pressed in, then a second layer over the top while the first is still damp.
- Always follow it with a moisturizer, because a water layer needs something to hold it in.
- Twice a day. Do not use it as your only step on dry skin, since it adds water rather than oil.
Purito Seoul Hydro Wave Deep Sea Serum
What does Betaine do in this formula?
Betaine is a mild humectant derived from beet sugar, included for a soft, non-tacky finish. On this formula's own ingredient list it sits listed after the base and thickeners, still well within the formula's active portion.
Is this the Korean-market formula or a US version?
This is the Korean-market formula Purito Seoul sells on shelves in Korea, not a version reformulated for the US shelf.
What step does this serum or ampoule go in a routine?
Apply a small amount to cleansed, toned skin, pat in gently, then follow with a moisturizer.
Can I use this with other actives in my routine?
Betaine generally layers well alongside a normal routine; introduce any new active gradually and watch how your skin responds over the first week or two.

We stock the version of a formula that is sold in Korea, not the release a brand prepares for another market under the same name. The barcode in the specification above is the Korean-market one and it is printed on the box you receive.
Every unit keeps its original barcode and batch code intact, so the unit in your hands can be checked against the brand’s own records.
Import duties are paid by us before the parcel reaches you, so nothing is owed at the door, and returns run for 30 days.
Every claim on this page traces to the unit in the box, the barcode, the batch code and the price you can read for yourself.
