How it works
A peeling gel exfoliates by rolling, not by acid, and that is the reason people with reactive skin keep one instead of a toner full of AHA. Cellulose is the ingredient that does the visible rolling, and lactobionic acid and a protease sit behind it for a light chemical assist. The rest of the formula is unusually cushioned for an exfoliant: sea water, seven forms of hyaluronic acid, panthenol, dipotassium glycyrrhizate and allantoin. It replaces your usual cleanse rather than adding to it, on a face that is damp rather than dripping. Use it once or twice a week rather than daily, and skip it in any week you are also using acids.
