How it works
A lip balm lives or dies on its oil blend, because there is no water in it to do anything else. This one is built on squalane, jojoba seed oil, macadamia seed oil, sweet almond oil, argan kernel oil and olive fruit oil, with waxes to hold the stick together and tocopheryl acetate behind them. That is a heavier, longer wearing blend than a petrolatum stick, so it stays put through a meal rather than needing a reapply after every drink. It goes on whenever lips feel tight, and last thing at night on lips that wake up cracked. Use it as often as you notice it, and put it on before lipstick rather than over the top of it.
How to use
- Use the Birch Moisturizing Lip Balm on clean lips, at any point in the day and again as the last thing before bed.
- One pass over each lip is enough, taken just past the lip line rather than well beyond it.
- It goes on last over any lip product, and on bare lips it needs nothing underneath it.
- As often as lips feel dry. Do not reapply over and over in place of drinking water; a balm holds moisture in, it does not add any.
