Key actives

Ceramide NP

a barrier lipid identical to what skin makes itself

Hydrolyzed Collagen

a smaller-molecule collagen carried for surface conditioning

How to use

  1. Use the Camellia Deep Collagen Jelly Pack Cleanser as your first step, on dry or barely damp skin, morning and evening.
  2. Two fingertips' worth, massaged over dry skin for about a minute so it has time to lift the day off before any water arrives.
  3. Rinse with lukewarm water, or follow with a light gel cleanse in the evening, then tone while skin is still damp.
  4. Twice a day. Do not use a cotton pad to wipe it away instead of rinsing; a milk cleanser leaves a film that water is meant to carry off.

How it works

The ingredient list runs 46 deep, opening with Water, Glycerin, Sodium Cocoyl Alaninate, Disodium Cocoamphodiacetate and Xanthan Gum. Further down: Ceramide NP at position 35 (a barrier lipid identical to what skin makes itself); Hydrolyzed Collagen at position 41 (a smaller-molecule collagen carried for surface conditioning). Every ingredient named above is on this exact SKU's label, not carried over from another Round Lab product in the same line.

Worth knowing

  • Patch test on the inner arm before first use on the face, especially if trying this brand or formula for the first time.
  • Store away from direct sunlight and heat so the formula and any actives inside stay stable through its shelf life.

  • Ceramides are part fatty acid and part amino acid and are able to be the grout that keeps the building blocks of the skin together and functioning as a barrier between the inside and outside world.

  • Topical collagen is a very large molecule that's too big to absorb into the skin.
