How to use
- Use the INNO:SCENT Shower Gel 500g #DEEP MUSK in the shower, on wet skin.
- Apply an appropriate amount to a bath sponge or towel, create a lather, massage over the entire body, and rinse thoroughly with water.
- Follow it with a body lotion while skin is still damp from the shower.
- Daily, or on the days you want it. Do not use it on the face; a body wash is built for a thicker surface than facial skin.
Does this product contain added fragrance?
Yes. The ingredient list for SKIN U INNO:SCENT Shower Gel 500g #DEEP MUSK includes FRAGRANCE / PARFUM. That is the label name for an added scent blend, whose individual components are not itemised beyond any allergens the label declares separately. The full list is printed in the Ingredients section of this page.
Are any declarable fragrance allergens listed?
Yes. LIMONENE, LINALOOL, BENZYL SALICYLATE, COUMARIN and HYDROXYCITRONELLAL appear on the ingredient list for SKIN U INNO:SCENT Shower Gel 500g #DEEP MUSK. These belong to the 26 fragrance components that EU cosmetic labelling requires to be named individually rather than folded into a fragrance entry.
Does this product contain denatured or SD alcohol?
No. The ingredient list for SKIN U INNO:SCENT Shower Gel 500g #DEEP MUSK names no denatured alcohol, SD alcohol or ethanol. Fatty alcohols such as cetyl and cetearyl alcohol are a different class of ingredient, used as emollients and thickeners, and are not counted here.
Not on the ingredient list below: denatured or SD alcohol, essential oils, silicones, parabens, sulfate surfactants, mineral oil or petrolatum and added color.

54 of 57 explained
- WATER / AQUA / EAU solvent
- Water is the base almost every serum, toner and cream is built on. It dissolves the water-loving ingredients and sets how light the finished texture feels. On an INCI list it is usually first, which only means it is the largest single ingredient by weight.
- SODIUM C14-16 OLEFIN SULFONATE surfactant
- A strong anionic surfactant that foams heavily. It is a sulfate alternative in name but not in strength, and it is more common in shampoos than in facial cleansers.
- SODIUM COCOYL ALANINATE surfactant
- An amino-acid surfactant made from coconut fatty acids and alanine. It foams less aggressively than a sulfate and rinses without the tight feeling.
- DISODIUM COCOAMPHODIACETATE surfactant
- Disodium Cocoamphodiacetate is a very mild coconut-derived surfactant used in cleansers for reactive skin and around the eyes.
- DIPROPYLENE GLYCOL humectant
- Dipropylene Glycol is a glycol used as a solvent and a light humectant. Its main job is keeping the rest of the formula dissolved and the texture fluid rather than adding hydration of its own.
- COCAMIDE METHYL MEA surfactant
- A coconut derived amide used as a foam booster and thickener in cleansers. It builds a denser lather and adds body to a surfactant blend.
- FRAGRANCE / PARFUM fragrance
- Fragrance, or Parfum, is a single declaration standing for a whole scent blend, which can be dozens of materials. Regulators allow it as a trade secret, so a list showing only this word does not say what the scent is made of. It is the most common trigger named by people with reactive skin.
- CITRIC ACID pH adjuster
- Citric Acid is used in tiny amounts to bring a formula to the pH its actives need, not as an exfoliant at that level. It is an AHA, so at much higher concentrations it can also exfoliate.
- SODIUM CHLORIDE thickener
- Sodium Chloride is salt. In a cleanser it thickens the liquid; in a mask or essence it balances the mineral content of the water phase. It has no active role.
- LAURYL GLUCOSIDE surfactant
- A sugar surfactant made from glucose and a fatty alcohol. Glucosides carry no charge, which is what makes them mild, and they give a soft low foam.
- POLYQUATERNIUM-7 film former
- Polyquaternium-7 is a positively charged polymer, so it clings to hair and skin, which carry a slight negative charge. It conditions and reduces static.
- MYRISTYL ALCOHOL fatty alcohol
- Myristyl Alcohol is a fatty alcohol from coconut or palm. It thickens a cream and helps the oil and water phases stay together, and it is not the drying kind of alcohol.
42 more explained
- CAPRYLYL GLYCOL preservative booster
- Caprylyl Glycol is a glycol that conditions skin and, more importantly, strengthens a preservative system so less of the traditional preservative is needed. It appears in most modern formulas built without parabens.
- LIMONENE fragrance component
- Limonene is the citrus-peel aromatic. It appears here because EU labelling requires 26 fragrance components to be named individually rather than hidden inside "fragrance", and it is one of them.
- TETRASODIUM EDTA chelator
- EDTA is a chelator: it locks up trace metal ions from water and packaging that would otherwise turn a formula cloudy, off-colour or rancid. It does nothing to skin and appears at a fraction of a percent.
- LINALOOL fragrance component
- Linalool is a floral aromatic found in lavender, bergamot and coriander. It is one of the 26 fragrance components EU labelling requires to be declared by name.
- BENZYL SALICYLATE fragrance component
- Benzyl Salicylate is a faint floral aromatic that also holds a fragrance on skin longer. It is one of the 26 fragrance components EU labelling requires to be named.
- HYDROXYCITRONELLAL fragrance component
- Hydroxycitronellal is a soft lily-of-the-valley aromatic. It is one of the 26 declarable fragrance components.
- GLUTAMIC ACID amino acid
- Glutamic Acid is an amino acid used as a humectant and a mild pH adjuster. It is one of the components of skin's natural moisturising factor.
- ASPARTIC ACID amino acid
- Aspartic Acid is an amino acid used as a humectant and buffer, usually within a wider amino acid blend.
- ARGININE amino acid
- Arginine is an amino acid that does two jobs here: it holds water in the outer layer of skin, and it neutralises acidic gelling agents, which is why it often stands in for a synthetic pH adjuster.
- SODIUM BENZOATE preservative
- Sodium Benzoate is a mild preservative that works only in acidic formulas. It is usually paired with potassium sorbate, and the pair is the standard choice where a brand wants no phenoxyethanol.
- ETHYLHEXYLGLYCERIN preservative booster
- Ethylhexylglycerin softens skin and boosts a preservative system, which is why it is nearly always sitting beside phenoxyethanol or 1,2-hexanediol. It also cuts down the odour bacteria produce, so it turns up in deodorising products.
- PANTHENOL humectant
- Panthenol is pro-vitamin B5: skin converts it to pantothenic acid. It is a humectant that holds water and leaves skin feeling soft and less tight, and it is one of the ingredients formulators reach for when a formula also contains something harsh.
- BUTYLENE GLYCOL humectant
- Butylene Glycol is a small glycol that does two jobs at once: it holds water in the top layer of skin and it dissolves plant extracts and actives that plain water cannot. It also thins a formula, which is why watery Korean essences lean on it.
- 1,2-HEXANEDIOL humectant
- 1,2-Hexanediol is a glycol used for two reasons: it holds water like glycerin, and it makes a formula harder for microbes to live in, so less traditional preservative is needed. Korean formulas use it heavily for that second reason.
- HYDROXYPROPYL CYCLODEXTRIN solvent
- Hydroxypropyl Cyclodextrin is a ring-shaped sugar that traps an active molecule inside itself, keeping it stable and releasing it slowly. It is a delivery shell rather than an active.
- POLYQUATERNIUM-10 film former
- A cellulose polymer carrying a positive charge. It deposits from a rinse-off formula onto hair or skin and leaves a smooth, anti-static film.
- SALICYLIC ACID exfoliant
- Salicylic Acid is a BHA, and the only common exfoliant that is oil soluble, so it can work inside a pore rather than only on the surface. It loosens the dead cells that block pores and is used for the look of congested, oily skin.
- PCA humectant
- PCA is pyrrolidone carboxylic acid, one of the components of the natural moisturising factor skin makes for itself. It holds water at the surface, and its salts do the same job.
- LACTIC ACID exfoliant
- Lactic Acid is a larger AHA than glycolic, so it works nearer the surface and is easier on skin, and it is a humectant as well as an exfoliant. It is the AHA of choice for dry skin.
- GLUCOSE humectant
- Glucose is a simple sugar used as a humectant and as food for the ferment ingredients in the same formula. It hydrates mildly and adds a soft slip.
- GLYCINE amino acid
- Glycine is the smallest amino acid and one of the free amino acids skin holds to keep water in the outer layer. In a formula it is a humectant and a mild buffer.
- UREA humectant
- Urea is one of the substances skin makes to hold its own water, part of the natural moisturising factor. At low levels it hydrates; at high levels it also softens hard, thickened skin.
- SODIUM GLYCEROPHOSPHATE humectant
- The sodium salt of glycerin bound to phosphate. It is water soluble, holds water like other polyol salts, and also acts as a mild buffer.
- SERINE amino acid
- Serine is one of the most abundant free amino acids in the outer layer of skin, where it helps hold water. Added to a formula it is a humectant.
- POTASSIUM MAGNESIUM ASPARTATE mineral
- Potassium and magnesium carried on the amino acid aspartic acid, which keeps both minerals soluble in water. It is used as a mineral source and a humectant salt.
- LEUCINE amino acid
- Leucine is an essential amino acid used as a humectant, part of the amino acid block many Korean essences carry.
- ALANINE amino acid
- Alanine is a free amino acid skin uses as part of its own moisture-holding system. In a formula it hydrates and conditions.
- CALCIUM GLUCONATE mineral
- The calcium salt of gluconic acid, a readily water soluble way to bring calcium into a formula. It is used as a mineral source and a mild buffering salt.
- LYSINE amino acid
- Lysine is an essential amino acid used as a conditioning humectant in an amino acid complex.
- MAGNESIUM GLUCONATE mineral
- The magnesium salt of gluconic acid, a readily water soluble way to bring magnesium into a formula. It is used as a mineral source and a mild buffering salt.
- ACETYL GLUCOSAMINE active
- Acetyl Glucosamine is the sugar unit hyaluronic acid is built from. It is used as a humectant and, at higher levels, for the look of uneven tone, often paired with niacinamide.
- PROLINE amino acid
- Proline is an amino acid abundant in collagen and one of skin's own humectants. Added to a formula it holds water in the outer layer.
- THREONINE amino acid
- Threonine is an essential amino acid used in skincare as a humectant, normally as part of an amino acid complex rather than alone.
- HISTIDINE amino acid
- Histidine is an amino acid used as a humectant and a buffer, part of skin's own free amino acid pool.
- PHENYLALANINE amino acid
- Phenylalanine is an essential amino acid used in skincare as a conditioning humectant.
- TYROSINE amino acid
- Tyrosine is an amino acid used as a conditioning humectant in amino acid complexes.
- VALINE amino acid
- Valine is an essential amino acid used as a humectant alongside the rest of an amino acid block.
- ISOLEUCINE amino acid
- Isoleucine is an essential amino acid used as a conditioning humectant within an amino acid complex.
- CREATINE amino acid
- Creatine is a small amino acid derivative the body uses to carry energy in muscle. In a formula it is a water soluble conditioning ingredient.
- URIC ACID antioxidant
- Uric acid is one of the antioxidant molecules present in sweat and in the surface layer of skin. It is used at low levels as a water soluble antioxidant.
- CYSTEINE amino acid
- Cysteine is a sulphur-bearing amino acid used as a humectant and antioxidant. It is one of the three building blocks of glutathione.
- METHIONINE amino acid
- Methionine is a sulphur-bearing essential amino acid used as a humectant and mild antioxidant.
