How to use
- Use the AHA-BHA-PHA 30Days Miracle Cleansing Bar as your first step, morning and evening, on skin wet with lukewarm water.
- A coin-sized amount, worked between wet palms for twenty to thirty seconds, then massaged over the face in small circles.
- Rinse and tone while skin is still damp. Everything after this lands on bare skin, so it decides what the rest of the routine is working with.
- Twice a day, every day. Do not stretch the massage past a minute or finish with hot water; both leave the surface feeling tight rather than clean.
Does this product contain added fragrance?
No. Neither fragrance nor parfum appears on the ingredient list for SOME BY MI AHA-BHA-PHA 30Days Miracle Cleansing Bar. Those are the two names a cosmetic label uses for an added scent blend, so a formula carrying one would name it. The full list is printed in the Ingredients section of this page.
Does this product contain essential oils?
Yes. The ingredient list for SOME BY MI AHA-BHA-PHA 30Days Miracle Cleansing Bar includes Melaleuca Alternifolia (tea Tree) Leaf Oil. Aromatic plant oils are listed under their botanical name rather than as fragrance, so they are named separately from any fragrance or parfum entry.
Are any declarable fragrance allergens listed?
Yes. Limonene appears on the ingredient list for SOME BY MI AHA-BHA-PHA 30Days Miracle Cleansing Bar. These belong to the 26 fragrance components that EU cosmetic labelling requires to be named individually rather than folded into a fragrance entry.
Does this product contain denatured or SD alcohol?
No. The ingredient list for SOME BY MI AHA-BHA-PHA 30Days Miracle Cleansing Bar names no denatured alcohol, SD alcohol or ethanol. Fatty alcohols such as cetyl and cetearyl alcohol are a different class of ingredient, used as emollients and thickeners, and are not counted here.
Not on the ingredient list below: fragrance or parfum, denatured or SD alcohol, silicones, parabens, sulfate surfactants, mineral oil or petrolatum and added color.

31 of 35 explained
- Glycerin humectant
- Glycerin is the most used humectant in skincare. It draws water into the outer layer of skin and holds it there, and it is one of the very few ingredients whose hydrating effect is settled science rather than marketing. Higher amounts feel tacky, which is why it is usually blended.
- Water solvent
- Water is the base almost every serum, toner and cream is built on. It dissolves the water-loving ingredients and sets how light the finished texture feels. On an INCI list it is usually first, which only means it is the largest single ingredient by weight.
- Propylene Glycol humectant
- Propylene Glycol is a small glycol used as a humectant and solvent. It hydrates and helps actives dissolve; newer formulas often swap it for propanediol, which does the same job with a lighter feel.
- Sodium Palmitate surfactant
- The soap of palmitic acid, and one half of most traditional cleansing bases. It gives a dense creamy foam and sits at a high pH.
- Potassium Laurate surfactant
- Potassium Laurate is the potassium soap of lauric acid, made by neutralising the fatty acid with potassium hydroxide. It is a foaming cleansing surfactant used in soap based cleansers.
- Sodium Laurate surfactant
- The soap of lauric acid. Soap-based cleansers foam densely and sit at a high pH, which is the traditional Korean foaming-cleanser route rather than the low-pH one.
- Coco-Betaine surfactant
- Coco-Betaine is a coconut-derived secondary surfactant used to build foam and make a cleanser milder.
- Disodium Laureth Sulfosuccinate surfactant
- A sulfosuccinate surfactant: milder than a sulfate, with more foam than an amino-acid one. It is often used to soften a sulfate-based cleanser.
- Sucrose humectant
- Sucrose is table sugar, used here as a humectant. It draws water into the outer layer of skin and, in a scrub, doubles as the physical grain.
- Sorbitol humectant
- Sorbitol is a sugar alcohol used as a humectant. It hydrates like glycerin with a smoother, less sticky finish, and it adds a little body to watery textures.
- Decyl Glucoside surfactant
- Decyl Glucoside is a sugar and coconut-derived surfactant, one of the mildest cleansers available. It produces a soft, low foam and rinses without stripping.
- Niacinamide active
- Niacinamide is vitamin B3, and it is the most studied active in Korean formulation. It is used at roughly 2 to 5 percent for the look of uneven tone and visible pores, and it is water soluble, stable and comfortable beside almost every other active, which is why it turns up in so many lists.
19 more explained
- Melaleuca Alternifolia (tea Tree) Leaf Oil fragrance component
- Tea Tree Leaf Oil is an essential oil from an Australian shrub, carrying terpinen-4-ol. Korean formulas use it in products aimed at blemish-prone skin; it is potent, aromatic, and one of the essential oils most likely to bother reactive skin.
- Melaleuca Alternifolia (tea Tree) Extract plant extract
- Tea Tree Leaf Extract is the water-based extract rather than the essential oil, so it is far milder and much less aromatic. It is used in formulas for blemish-prone skin.
- Stearic Acid fatty acid
- Stearic Acid is a saturated fatty acid from plant fats, and one of the three lipid classes skin's own barrier is built from. In a formula it thickens, stabilises the emulsion and can be turned into a soap-style cleanser by adding a base.
- Citric Acid pH adjuster
- Citric Acid is used in tiny amounts to bring a formula to the pH its actives need, not as an exfoliant at that level. It is an AHA, so at much higher concentrations it can also exfoliate.
- Salicylic Acid exfoliant
- Salicylic Acid is a BHA, and the only common exfoliant that is oil soluble, so it can work inside a pore rather than only on the surface. It loosens the dead cells that block pores and is used for the look of congested, oily skin.
- Houttuynia Cordata Extract plant extract
- Houttuynia Cordata is heartleaf, and it is one of the two or three anchor plants of Korean calming skincare. Its extract carries quercitrin and other flavonoids and is used for the look of redness and blemish-prone skin.
- Glycyrrhiza Uralensis (licorice) Root Extract plant extract
- Licorice Root Extract carries glabridin and liquiritin. It is one of the classic plant ingredients used for the look of uneven tone and redness, and it appears in almost every brightening formula that avoids synthetic actives.
- Leontopodium Alpinum Extract plant extract
- Edelweiss extract, from a plant that survives high-altitude sun and cold. It carries leontopodic acid and is used as a plant antioxidant.
- Olea Europaea (olive) Fruit Oil emollient
- Olive Fruit Oil is high in oleic acid and plant sterols. It is a rich emollient that suits dry skin and is heavy enough that blemish-prone skin often does not get on with it.
- Argania Spinosa Kernel Oil emollient
- Argan Oil is pressed from the argan kernel and is rich in oleic and linoleic acids plus vitamin E. It is a medium-weight emollient that absorbs reasonably fast.
- Camellia Sinensis Seed Oil emollient
- Oil pressed from tea seeds. It is high in oleic acid, carries some of the antioxidants of the tea plant, and is lighter in feel than most oleic oils.
- Adansonia Digitata Seed Extract plant extract
- Baobab seed extract, from the African tree whose seed oil appears on the same lists. The extract is used as a conditioning, hydrating ingredient.
- Centella Asiatica Extract plant extract
- Centella Asiatica is the plant behind the whole cica category, sold as gotu kola or Madagascar centella. Its extract is the anchor of Korean formulas built for easily reddened skin, and its work is done by four triterpenes: asiaticoside, madecassoside, asiatic acid and madecassic acid.
- Lactobionic Acid exfoliant
- Lactobionic Acid is a polyhydroxy acid, the gentlest of the acid families because the molecule is large and slow to travel. It is also a strong humectant.
- Hydrolyzed Potato Protein protein
- Potato protein cut into small fragments. It is a plant protein used as a humectant and light film former.
- Hydrolyzed Wheat Protein protein
- Hydrolyzed Wheat Protein is wheat protein broken into fragments small enough to dissolve in water. It holds water at the surface and leaves a smooth film, which is why it is as common in hair products as in skincare.
- Hydrolyzed Rice Protein protein
- Hydrolyzed Rice Protein is rice protein broken into small fragments. It is a humectant and film former that leaves a soft, smooth finish.
- Disodium EDTA chelator
- EDTA is a chelator: it locks up trace metal ions from water and packaging that would otherwise turn a formula cloudy, off-colour or rancid. It does nothing to skin and appears at a fraction of a percent.
- Limonene fragrance component
- Limonene is the citrus-peel aromatic. It appears here because EU labelling requires 26 fragrance components to be named individually rather than hidden inside "fragrance", and it is one of them.
