How to use
- Use the Bye Bye Blackhead 30 Days Miracle Green Tea Tox Bubble Cleanser as your first step, morning and evening, on a face already wet with lukewarm water.
- A short pump or a pea of product is enough. Work it into a lather in wet hands for about twenty seconds before it touches the face.
- Rinse with lukewarm water and go straight on to your toner while skin is still damp, because a humectant layer has more to hold on to on a damp face.
- Twice a day is the ceiling. Do not follow it with a second cleanse in the morning, when there is no sunscreen or makeup left on the face to remove.
Does this product contain added fragrance?
No. Neither fragrance nor parfum appears on the ingredient list for SOME BY MI Bye Bye Blackhead 30 Days Miracle Green Tea Tox Bubble Cleanser 120g. Those are the two names a cosmetic label uses for an added scent blend, so a formula carrying one would name it. The full list is printed in the Ingredients section of this page.
Does this product contain essential oils?
Yes. The ingredient list for SOME BY MI Bye Bye Blackhead 30 Days Miracle Green Tea Tox Bubble Cleanser 120g includes Mentha Piperita (peppermint) Oil. Aromatic plant oils are listed under their botanical name rather than as fragrance, so they are named separately from any fragrance or parfum entry.
Are any declarable fragrance allergens listed?
No. None of the 26 fragrance components that EU cosmetic labelling requires to be named individually appear on the ingredient list for SOME BY MI Bye Bye Blackhead 30 Days Miracle Green Tea Tox Bubble Cleanser 120g. They are the components most often reported as contact allergens, which is why that rule names them one by one.
Does this product contain denatured or SD alcohol?
No. The ingredient list for SOME BY MI Bye Bye Blackhead 30 Days Miracle Green Tea Tox Bubble Cleanser 120g names no denatured alcohol, SD alcohol or ethanol. Fatty alcohols such as cetyl and cetearyl alcohol are a different class of ingredient, used as emollients and thickeners, and are not counted here.
Not on the ingredient list below: fragrance or parfum, denatured or SD alcohol, silicones, parabens, sulfate surfactants, mineral oil or petrolatum and added color.

43 of 56 explained
- Water solvent
- Water is the base almost every serum, toner and cream is built on. It dissolves the water-loving ingredients and sets how light the finished texture feels. On an INCI list it is usually first, which only means it is the largest single ingredient by weight.
- Camellia Sinensis Leaf Water plant extract
- Camellia Sinensis Leaf Water is green tea distillate used in place of plain water as a base. It is far more dilute than the extract, so it sets the base rather than supplying the antioxidants.
- Disodium Cocoamphodiacetate surfactant
- Disodium Cocoamphodiacetate is a very mild coconut-derived surfactant used in cleansers for reactive skin and around the eyes.
- Glycerin humectant
- Glycerin is the most used humectant in skincare. It draws water into the outer layer of skin and holds it there, and it is one of the very few ingredients whose hydrating effect is settled science rather than marketing. Higher amounts feel tacky, which is why it is usually blended.
- Potassium Cocoyl Glycinate surfactant
- Potassium Cocoyl Glycinate is a coconut-and-glycine surfactant used in low-pH cleansers. It foams well and rinses without the squeaky tightness a soap leaves.
- Coco-Betaine surfactant
- Coco-Betaine is a coconut-derived secondary surfactant used to build foam and make a cleanser milder.
- Acrylates Copolymer film former
- Acrylates Copolymer is a synthetic polymer that forms a film as the water leaves. It holds a formula in place, controls shine and helps a texture stay put.
- Salix Alba (willow) Bark Extract plant extract
- Willow Bark Extract carries salicin, the plant compound salicylic acid is related to. The two are not interchangeable: willow bark is a mild clarifying extract, not a BHA exfoliant at the levels used in cosmetics.
- Jasminum Officinale (jasmine) Flower Water plant extract
- Jasmine distillate, used in place of plain water as a base. A flower water is far more dilute than the oil, so it sets the base and carries a faint scent.
- Chaenomeles Sinensis Fruit Extract plant extract
- Chinese quince fruit extract, the mogwa of Korean tea. It carries fruit acids, tannins and vitamin C and is used as a conditioning extract.
- Diospyros Kaki Leaf Extract plant extract
- Diospyros Kaki is the persimmon tree. Its leaf extract carries tannins and vitamin C and is used as an antioxidant extract.
- Cinnamomum Cassia Bark Extract plant extract
- Cassia cinnamon bark extract, a traditional herbal ingredient carrying cinnamaldehyde and tannins. It is used in warming, antioxidant-rich blends.
31 more explained
- Artemisia Princeps Leaf Extract plant extract
- Artemisia Princeps is Korean mugwort, one of the country's oldest skincare and bathing plants. Its leaf extract is used for the look of reddened, reactive skin, and it is the ingredient behind the mugwort category.
- Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract plant extract
- Camellia Sinensis is the tea plant. Green tea leaf extract carries catechins, among the most studied plant antioxidants, and is used for the look of redness and oily shine.
- Hibiscus Sabdariffa Flower Extract plant extract
- Roselle hibiscus extract, deep red from anthocyanins and naturally acidic. It carries plant acids and is used as an antioxidant extract.
- Lavandula Angustifolia (lavender) Extract plant extract
- Lavender extract, the water-soluble fraction rather than the essential oil. It is used as a conditioning extract and carries a light lavender scent.
- Rosmarinus Officinalis (rosemary) Extract plant extract
- Rosemary extract with the plant part unstated. Rosemary carries rosmarinic and carnosic acid, and it is also used to keep the oils in a formula from going rancid.
- Chamomilla Recutita (matricaria) Flower Extract plant extract
- Chamomile Flower Extract is one of the oldest ingredients in skincare, carrying bisabolol and chamazulene. It is used for the look of redness in formulas for reactive skin.
- Trifolium Pratense (clover) Flower Extract plant extract
- Red clover flower extract, carrying isoflavones. It is used as a conditioning plant extract.
- Aspalathus Linearis Extract plant extract
- Rooibos extract, from the South African red bush. It carries aspalathin and other flavonoids and no caffeine, and it is used as a plant antioxidant.
- Pinus Densiflora Leaf Extract plant extract
- Pinus Densiflora is Korean red pine, a plant with a long history in Korean traditional use. The needle extract is used as an antioxidant plant extract.
- Bambusa Vulgaris Extract plant extract
- Bamboo extract. Bamboo concentrates silica as it grows, so the extract is used as a hydrating, mineral-bearing ingredient.
- Thuja Orientalis Extract plant extract
- Oriental arborvitae leaf extract, the cheukbaengyeop of Korean herbal practice. It is used as a conditioning extract, most often in scalp formulas.
- Chamaecyparis Obtusa Leaf Extract plant extract
- Chamaecyparis Obtusa is hinoki cypress. Its leaf extract carries aromatic plant compounds and is used in Korean formulas aimed at oily, congested skin.
- Melaleuca Alternifolia (tea Tree) Leaf Water plant extract
- Tea Tree Leaf Water is the distillate, used in place of plain water as a base. It carries a trace of the plant's aroma and none of the essential oil's strength.
- Centella Asiatica Extract plant extract
- Centella Asiatica is the plant behind the whole cica category, sold as gotu kola or Madagascar centella. Its extract is the anchor of Korean formulas built for easily reddened skin, and its work is done by four triterpenes: asiaticoside, madecassoside, asiatic acid and madecassic acid.
- Vitis Vinifera (grape) Fruit Extract plant extract
- Grape Fruit Extract carries polyphenols and fruit acids. It is used as an antioxidant plant extract.
- Coffea Arabica (coffee) Seed Extract plant extract
- Coffee Seed Extract carries caffeine and chlorogenic acid. It is used as an antioxidant extract and, in eye and body formulas, for the look of puffiness.
- Carthamus Tinctorius (safflower) Flower Extract plant extract
- Safflower Flower Extract is a traditional East Asian dye and skincare plant. It is used as a conditioning antioxidant extract and can tint a formula.
- Polygonum Cuspidatum Root Extract plant extract
- Polygonum Cuspidatum is Japanese knotweed, the main commercial source of resveratrol. Its root extract is used as an antioxidant plant extract.
- Castanea Crenata Shell Extract plant extract
- Chestnut Shell Extract carries tannins and is used as an antioxidant plant extract, most often in formulas aimed at visible pores.
- Zanthoxylum Piperitum Fruit Extract plant extract
- Zanthoxylum Piperitum is Korean pepper. Its fruit extract is used as a conditioning plant extract and is often paired with pulsatilla and usnea in Korean formulas.
- Saccharide Isomerate humectant
- A plant-sugar complex whose structure resembles the sugars already bound to the skin surface, so it stays through washing. It is used as a long-acting humectant.
- Camellia Sinensis Leaf absorbent
- Green tea leaf ground to a powder. In a formula it is a mild physical grain and an absorbent, and it tints the product green.
- Butylene Glycol humectant
- Butylene Glycol is a small glycol that does two jobs at once: it holds water in the top layer of skin and it dissolves plant extracts and actives that plain water cannot. It also thins a formula, which is why watery Korean essences lean on it.
- Caprylyl Glycol preservative booster
- Caprylyl Glycol is a glycol that conditions skin and, more importantly, strengthens a preservative system so less of the traditional preservative is needed. It appears in most modern formulas built without parabens.
- Citric Acid pH adjuster
- Citric Acid is used in tiny amounts to bring a formula to the pH its actives need, not as an exfoliant at that level. It is an AHA, so at much higher concentrations it can also exfoliate.
- 1,2-Hexanediol humectant
- 1,2-Hexanediol is a glycol used for two reasons: it holds water like glycerin, and it makes a formula harder for microbes to live in, so less traditional preservative is needed. Korean formulas use it heavily for that second reason.
- Ethylhexylglycerin preservative booster
- Ethylhexylglycerin softens skin and boosts a preservative system, which is why it is nearly always sitting beside phenoxyethanol or 1,2-hexanediol. It also cuts down the odour bacteria produce, so it turns up in deodorising products.
- Benzyl Glycol preservative booster
- Benzyl Glycol is a solvent that also makes a formula less hospitable to microbes, so it appears in preservative blends built without parabens.
- Raspberry Ketone fragrance component
- Raspberry Ketone is the compound that gives raspberries their smell. On a list it is an aromatic ingredient rather than a functional one.
- Disodium EDTA chelator
- EDTA is a chelator: it locks up trace metal ions from water and packaging that would otherwise turn a formula cloudy, off-colour or rancid. It does nothing to skin and appears at a fraction of a percent.
- Mentha Piperita (peppermint) Oil fragrance
- Peppermint essential oil. Its menthol content is what produces the cool feeling, and it is a commonly declared fragrance material.
