How to use
- Use the Miracle Age Repair Cotton Mask after toner, in place of your serum step, in the evening.
- Apply the sheet mask evenly over the face. Leave on for 15 to 20 minutes, then remove and gently pat the remaining essence into the skin until absorbed.
- Take it off at the time printed on the pack, pat in the essence left behind rather than rinsing, then go straight to your moisturizer.
- Two or three evenings a week is a normal rhythm. Do not leave it on past its time; a sheet that has gone dry takes moisture back off the face as it goes.
Does this product contain added fragrance?
No. Neither fragrance nor parfum appears on the ingredient list for THANK YOU FARMER Miracle Age Repair Cotton Mask 25ml X 1ea. Those are the two names a cosmetic label uses for an added scent blend, so a formula carrying one would name it. The full list is printed in the Ingredients section of this page.
Does this product contain essential oils?
Yes. The ingredient list for THANK YOU FARMER Miracle Age Repair Cotton Mask 25ml X 1ea includes Citrus Grandis (Grapefruit) Peel Oil, Citrus Limon (Lemon) Peel Oil, Citrus Aurantium Bergamia (Bergamot) Fruit Oil, Citrus Aurantium Dulcis (Orange) Peel Oil, Pelargonium Graveolens Flower Oil, Cananga Odorata Flower Oil, Cymbopogon Nardus (Citronella) Oil, Anthemis Nobilis Flower Oil, Jasminum Officinale (Jasmine) Oil and Santalum Album (Sandalwood) Oil. Aromatic plant oils are listed under their botanical name rather than as fragrance, so they are named separately from any fragrance or parfum entry.
Are any declarable fragrance allergens listed?
No. None of the 26 fragrance components that EU cosmetic labelling requires to be named individually appear on the ingredient list for THANK YOU FARMER Miracle Age Repair Cotton Mask 25ml X 1ea. They are the components most often reported as contact allergens, which is why that rule names them one by one.
Does this product contain denatured or SD alcohol?
No. The ingredient list for THANK YOU FARMER Miracle Age Repair Cotton Mask 25ml X 1ea names no denatured alcohol, SD alcohol or ethanol. Fatty alcohols such as cetyl and cetearyl alcohol are a different class of ingredient, used as emollients and thickeners, and are not counted here.
Not on the ingredient list below: fragrance or parfum, denatured or SD alcohol, parabens, sulfate surfactants, mineral oil or petrolatum and added color.

70 of 75 explained
- Saccharomyces Ferment ferment
- Saccharomyces Ferment is a brewer's yeast ferment. It supplies amino acids, sugars and B vitamins and is used as a conditioning, hydrating ferment.
- Glycerin humectant
- Glycerin is the most used humectant in skincare. It draws water into the outer layer of skin and holds it there, and it is one of the very few ingredients whose hydrating effect is settled science rather than marketing. Higher amounts feel tacky, which is why it is usually blended.
- Butylene Glycol humectant
- Butylene Glycol is a small glycol that does two jobs at once: it holds water in the top layer of skin and it dissolves plant extracts and actives that plain water cannot. It also thins a formula, which is why watery Korean essences lean on it.
- Niacinamide active
- Niacinamide is vitamin B3, and it is the most studied active in Korean formulation. It is used at roughly 2 to 5 percent for the look of uneven tone and visible pores, and it is water soluble, stable and comfortable beside almost every other active, which is why it turns up in so many lists.
- Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride emollient
- Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride is the light fraction of coconut oil, with the heavy parts removed. It is the workhorse emollient of modern formulas: it softens skin, dissolves oil-soluble actives and absorbs without the greasy weight of a whole plant oil.
- Piper Methysticum Leaf/Root/Stem Extract plant extract
- Kava extract, from the Pacific pepper plant. It carries kavalactones and is used as a conditioning plant extract.
- Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice plant extract
- Aloe Leaf Extract is mostly water with polysaccharides, amino acids and mild plant acids. It hydrates and leaves a light, cooling film, which is why it is the default after-sun ingredient.
- Water solvent
- Water is the base almost every serum, toner and cream is built on. It dissolves the water-loving ingredients and sets how light the finished texture feels. On an INCI list it is usually first, which only means it is the largest single ingredient by weight.
- 1,2-Hexanediol humectant
- 1,2-Hexanediol is a glycol used for two reasons: it holds water like glycerin, and it makes a formula harder for microbes to live in, so less traditional preservative is needed. Korean formulas use it heavily for that second reason.
- Soluble Collagen protein
- Soluble Collagen is collagen kept in its intact triple-helix form and dissolved rather than cut up. It sits on the surface as a water-holding film.
- Hydrogenated Lecithin emulsifier
- Hydrogenated Lecithin is lecithin with its unsaturated bonds filled in, which makes it far more stable. It emulsifies and is the standard shell for the liposomes that carry actives into the outer layer of skin.
- Dioscorea Japonica Root Extract plant extract
- Dioscorea Japonica is Japanese wild yam, whose root is naturally slippery with mucilage. Its extract hydrates and leaves a cushioned feel.
58 more explained
- Arctium Lappa Root Extract plant extract
- Burdock root extract, the ueong eaten in Korea. It carries inulin and polyphenols and is used as a conditioning extract.
- Phellinus Linteus Extract plant extract
- Sanghuang, a hard bracket mushroom used in Korean and Chinese herbal tradition. Its extract carries water-holding polysaccharides.
- Diphenyl Dimethicone silicone
- Diphenyl Dimethicone is a glossy silicone used to add shine and a smooth film, particularly in lip and highlighting textures.
- Triethylhexanoin emollient
- Triethylhexanoin is a light ester emollient that softens skin and disperses pigment. It absorbs cleanly and is often used to thin a heavy oil phase.
- Betaine humectant
- Betaine is a sugar-beet-derived humectant that cells use to hold water. In a formula it hydrates and takes the edge off cleansers and acids, which is why it often appears alongside them.
- Calendula Officinalis Flower Extract plant extract
- Marigold flower extract, one of the oldest plant ingredients used for the look of reddened, easily bothered skin. It carries carotenoids and flavonoids.
- Carbomer thickener
- Carbomer is a synthetic polymer that only gels once a base neutralises it, which is why arginine or tromethamine sits nearby on the list. It gives the clear, non-stringy gel texture a xanthan formula cannot reach.
- Portulaca Oleracea Extract plant extract
- Portulaca Oleracea is purslane. Its extract is unusually high in omega-3 fatty acids and antioxidants for a plant, and Korean formulas use it for the look of reddened, reactive skin.
- Pueraria Thunbergiana Root Extract plant extract
- Kudzu root extract. The root is high in the isoflavones puerarin and daidzein, and it also carries starch, so the extract holds a little water.
- Cnidium Officinale Root Extract plant extract
- Cheongung, a traditional Korean medicinal root from the carrot family. Its extract is used as a conditioning plant extract.
- Glycyrrhiza Glabra (Licorice) Root Extract plant extract
- Licorice Root Extract carries glabridin and liquiritin. It is one of the classic plant ingredients used for the look of uneven tone and redness, and it appears in almost every brightening formula that avoids synthetic actives.
- Paeonia Lactiflora Root Extract plant extract
- Chinese peony root, one of the oldest ingredients in East Asian herbal practice. Its extract carries paeoniflorin and is used for the look of reddened, uneven skin.
- Tromethamine pH adjuster
- Tromethamine neutralises acidic thickeners such as carbomer so they gel, and holds a formula near skin-friendly pH. It is used at a fraction of a percent.
- Xanthan Gum thickener
- Xanthan Gum is a polysaccharide made by fermenting sugar. It thickens a watery formula into a gel and holds the whole thing in suspension so nothing separates. Too much of it and a serum turns stringy, which is why it appears in fractions of a percent.
- Ethylhexylglycerin preservative booster
- Ethylhexylglycerin softens skin and boosts a preservative system, which is why it is nearly always sitting beside phenoxyethanol or 1,2-hexanediol. It also cuts down the odour bacteria produce, so it turns up in deodorising products.
- Adenosine active
- Adenosine is a nucleoside that Korea's own cosmetic authority recognises as a wrinkle-care functional ingredient, which is why it appears on so many Korean lists at a low level. It is used for the look of fine lines and is stable and well tolerated.
- Polyglyceryl-10 Myristate emulsifier
- Polyglyceryl-10 Myristate is a mild sugar-derived emulsifier used to keep oil dispersed in a watery formula.
- Sodium Polyacrylate thickener
- Sodium Polyacrylate is a polymer that absorbs many times its weight in water. It thickens a formula and holds water in a gel against the skin.
- Cetyl Alcohol fatty alcohol
- Cetyl Alcohol is a waxy fatty alcohol from coconut or palm, unrelated to drying ethanol. It thickens creams, stabilises the emulsion and leaves skin feeling softer.
- Isohexadecane emollient
- Isohexadecane is a branched hydrocarbon emollient that spreads easily and leaves a dry finish. It is often paired with a thickener to build a gel-cream.
- Disodium EDTA chelator
- EDTA is a chelator: it locks up trace metal ions from water and packaging that would otherwise turn a formula cloudy, off-colour or rancid. It does nothing to skin and appears at a fraction of a percent.
- Polyquaternium-51 film former
- Polyquaternium-51 is a polymer, sometimes sold as Lipidure, built on the same phosphorylcholine structure as a cell membrane. It holds water in a film on the surface and gives a distinctive soft, dry finish.
- Stearic Acid fatty acid
- Stearic Acid is a saturated fatty acid from plant fats, and one of the three lipid classes skin's own barrier is built from. In a formula it thickens, stabilises the emulsion and can be turned into a soap-style cleanser by adding a base.
- Phenoxyethanol preservative
- Phenoxyethanol is the most widely used cosmetic preservative outside the paraben family. It keeps a water-containing formula from growing bacteria and mould, and is capped at one percent in most markets, so it always sits low on a list.
- Glycosyl Trehalose humectant
- A sugar humectant built on trehalose, the sugar that lets some plants survive drying out. It holds water at the surface with a light, non-sticky feel.
- Citrus Grandis (Grapefruit) Peel Oil fragrance component
- Grapefruit Peel Oil is a citrus essential oil rich in limonene. It scents a formula and belongs to the aromatic class reactive skin often avoids.
- Polysorbate 60 emulsifier
- Polysorbate 60 is a water-loving emulsifier used with a fatty co-emulsifier to build stable lotions and creams.
- PEG-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil emulsifier
- PEG-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil is the most used solubiliser in clear toners and micellar waters. It holds small amounts of oil and fragrance in solution without turning the formula cloudy.
- Sodium Hyaluronate humectant
- Sodium Hyaluronate is the salt of hyaluronic acid, and it is what most products labelled hyaluronic actually contain. The salt dissolves more readily and the molecule is smaller, so it sits in the outer layer of skin rather than only on top of it.
- Hydrogenated Starch Hydrolysate humectant
- A starch-derived sugar syrup used as a humectant. It holds water and adds a soft cushioned slip without the tack of glycerin.
- Raffinose sugar
- Raffinose is a three-unit plant sugar found in beans and beetroot. It holds water in the outer layer of skin and helps a formula stay comfortable as it dries down.
- Biosaccharide Gum-1 polysaccharide
- Biosaccharide Gum-1 is a fermentation-derived sugar polymer that binds to skin and holds a moisture film in place. It gives a silky, non-tacky feel.
- Pentylene Glycol humectant
- Pentylene Glycol hydrates and, like the other longer-chain glycols, makes a formula less hospitable to microbes so the preservative system can be lighter. It also improves how evenly a product spreads.
- Citrus Limon (Lemon) Peel Oil fragrance
- Cold-pressed lemon peel oil. Citrus peel oils carry limonene and can make skin more sensitive to sunlight, which is why leave-on formulas use them sparingly.
- PEG-30 Dipolyhydroxystearate emulsifier
- PEG-30 Dipolyhydroxystearate is an emulsifier for water-in-oil formulas, the kind where water droplets sit inside an oil phase. It is common in cleansing oils and balms.
- Panthenol humectant
- Panthenol is pro-vitamin B5: skin converts it to pantothenic acid. It is a humectant that holds water and leaves skin feeling soft and less tight, and it is one of the ingredients formulators reach for when a formula also contains something harsh.
- Citrus Aurantium Bergamia (Bergamot) Fruit Oil fragrance component
- Bergamot Fruit Oil is a citrus essential oil and the top note of eau de cologne. It scents a formula; citrus oils are the aromatic class most likely to bother reactive skin.
- Citrus Aurantium Dulcis (Orange) Peel Oil fragrance component
- Sweet Orange Peel Oil is a citrus essential oil carrying limonene. It scents a formula, and limonene is one of the components EU labelling names separately.
- Olea Europaea (Olive) Fruit Oil emollient
- Olive Fruit Oil is high in oleic acid and plant sterols. It is a rich emollient that suits dry skin and is heavy enough that blemish-prone skin often does not get on with it.
- Lecithin emulsifier
- Lecithin is a soy or sunflower-derived phospholipid, the same class of molecule cell membranes are built from. It emulsifies oil into water and is the basis of the liposomes formulators use to carry actives.
- Citrus Aurantifolia (Lime) Oil fragrance component
- Lime oil, an essential oil pressed from the peel. It scents a formula strongly, and expressed citrus oils can make skin more sensitive to sun.
- Pelargonium Graveolens Flower Oil fragrance component
- Pelargonium Graveolens is rose geranium. Its flower oil is an essential oil used to scent a formula, carrying citronellol and geraniol.
- Ribes Nigrum (Black Currant) Seed Oil emollient
- Blackcurrant seed oil, one of the few plant oils that carries gamma-linolenic acid. It softens skin and helps hold water in.
- Folic Acid vitamin
- Folic Acid is vitamin B9. It is used in a formula as a conditioning vitamin, usually as part of a B-complex blend.
- Ceramide NP barrier lipid
- Ceramide NP is the most used cosmetic ceramide, the same class of lipid that makes up roughly half the mortar between cells in the outer layer of skin. Added to a cream it slots into that structure, which is why ceramide formulas feel less leaky rather than merely greasy.
- Cholesterol barrier lipid
- Cholesterol is the third of the three lipids the outer layer of skin is built from, with ceramides and fatty acids. Formulas that carry all three are following the ratio skin itself holds.
- Rose Flower Oil fragrance component
- Rosa Damascena Flower Oil is rose essential oil, one of the most expensive materials in perfumery. It scents a formula, and like every essential oil it is a class reactive skin often does not tolerate.
- Cedrus Atlantica Bark Oil fragrance component
- Atlas Cedar Bark Oil is a woody essential oil used to scent a formula.
- Glyceryl Polymethacrylate film former
- Glyceryl Polymethacrylate is a polymer that forms a smooth, water-holding film and gives a formula a cushioned, non-sticky feel.
- Illicium Verum (Anise) Fruit/Seed Oil fragrance component
- Star anise oil, an essential oil dominated by anethole. It scents a formula strongly and is used in small amounts.
- Cananga Odorata Flower Oil fragrance
- Ylang ylang oil, a heavy sweet floral essential oil. It is among the most commonly declared natural fragrance materials.
- Cymbopogon Nardus (Citronella) Oil fragrance component
- Citronella oil, distilled from a lemongrass relative. It is high in citronellal and geraniol and is used as an aromatic oil.
- Anthemis Nobilis Flower Oil fragrance component
- Anthemis Nobilis is Roman chamomile. The flower oil is an essential oil, so it scents a formula as well as conditioning it, and essential oils are the class most likely to bother reactive skin.
- Jasminum Officinale (Jasmine) Oil fragrance
- Jasmine oil, an intensely floral aromatic used in very small amounts. It is a fragrance ingredient.
- Santalum Album (Sandalwood) Oil fragrance component
- Sandalwood oil, distilled from the heartwood. Its scent comes from santalol, and it is used as a base note that lasts on skin longer than most aromatic oils.
- Ferula Galbaniflua (Galbanum) Resin Oil fragrance component
- Galbanum Resin Oil is a green, resinous essential oil used in perfumery to scent a formula.
- Tocopheryl Acetate antioxidant
- Tocopheryl Acetate is a stable vitamin E ester that skin converts to tocopherol. It is used as an antioxidant and a light emollient and holds up better than plain vitamin E in a formula.
- Palmitoyl Pentapeptide-4 peptide
- Palmitoyl Pentapeptide-4 is the five-amino-acid peptide originally sold as Matrixyl. It is used for the look of fine lines and is one of the longest-standing cosmetic peptides.
