Key benefits
3Titanium dioxideMineral pigment / UV filter
A mineral pigment used here for coverage and colour, the same ingredient that in a sunscreen context also functions as a physical UV filter.
7NiacinamideTone and texture
A well-studied B3 vitamin derivative that Korean formulators lean on for evening tone and refining the look of surface texture, and it sits high enough on this row's own ingredient list to be doing real work.
10DimethiconeSilicone, smoothing
A silicone that smooths application and helps a cushion or liquid base glide evenly rather than dragging or streaking on contact with skin.
14Iron OxidesMineral pigment
Naturally derived mineral pigments used across Korean cushions and foundations to build the warm and neutral tones a shade range needs.
31AdenosineSkin-soothing nucleoside
A naturally occurring skin nucleoside included in most modern Korean formulas for its soothing, texture-supporting role, almost always used at a low, well-tolerated concentration.

Where each key active sits on the declared ingredient list, by entry number. Position is proportion: the further forward, the larger its share.
Does this product contain added fragrance?
No. Neither fragrance nor parfum appears on the ingredient list for TIRTIR Mask Fit Red Cushion [MINI]. Those are the two names a cosmetic label uses for an added scent blend, so a formula carrying one would name it. The full list is printed in the Ingredients section of this page.
Are any declarable fragrance allergens listed?
No. None of the 26 fragrance components that EU cosmetic labelling requires to be named individually appear on the ingredient list for TIRTIR Mask Fit Red Cushion [MINI]. They are the components most often reported as contact allergens, which is why that rule names them one by one.
Does this product contain denatured or SD alcohol?
No. The ingredient list for TIRTIR Mask Fit Red Cushion [MINI] names no denatured alcohol, SD alcohol or ethanol. Fatty alcohols such as cetyl and cetearyl alcohol are a different class of ingredient, used as emollients and thickeners, and are not counted here.
Not on the ingredient list below: fragrance or parfum, denatured or SD alcohol, essential oils, parabens, sulfate surfactants and mineral oil or petrolatum.

37 of 45 explained
- Aqua/Water/Eau solvent
- Water is the base almost every serum, toner and cream is built on. It dissolves the water-loving ingredients and sets how light the finished texture feels. On an INCI list it is usually first, which only means it is the largest single ingredient by weight.
- Cyclopentasiloxane silicone
- Cyclopentasiloxane is a volatile silicone: it spreads a formula thin and smooth then evaporates, leaving no residue. It is the silicone behind a dry, powdery primer finish.
- Trimethylsiloxysilicate silicone
- A silicone resin supplied in a volatile carrier. The carrier flashes off and the resin stays behind as a light, transfer-resistant film.
- Propanediol humectant
- Propanediol is a plant-derived glycol used in place of propylene glycol. It hydrates, carries actives into solution, and gives a lighter, less sticky slip than glycerin at the same strength.
- Methyl Trimethicone silicone
- Methyl Trimethicone is a light, volatile silicone chosen for a notably dry finish. It thins a formula and disperses powders evenly.
- Niacinamide active
- Niacinamide is vitamin B3, and it is the most studied active in Korean formulation. It is used at roughly 2 to 5 percent for the look of uneven tone and visible pores, and it is water soluble, stable and comfortable beside almost every other active, which is why it turns up in so many lists.
- PEG-10 Dimethicone silicone
- PEG-10 Dimethicone is a silicone with a water-loving chain attached, so it bridges the silicone and water phases. It is used as an emulsifier and to give a light, silky feel.
- Diphenylsiloxy Phenyl Trimethicone silicone
- Diphenylsiloxy Phenyl Trimethicone is a high-shine silicone used where a formula needs gloss without stickiness.
- Dimethicone silicone
- Dimethicone is the most used cosmetic silicone. It forms a breathable film that smooths the surface, slows water leaving skin, and gives the slip that makes a primer or cream feel silky. It is inert and does not penetrate.
- Isododecane solvent
- Isododecane is a light, volatile hydrocarbon. It carries pigments and film formers on smoothly and then evaporates, leaving the film behind and nothing oily.
- Polyglyceryl-3 Polydimethylsiloxyethyl Dimethicone emulsifier
- A silicone emulsifier with polyglycerin attached. It is the standard way to hold water inside a silicone fluid, which is how many mineral sun fluids are built.
- 1,2-Hexanediol humectant
- 1,2-Hexanediol is a glycol used for two reasons: it holds water like glycerin, and it makes a formula harder for microbes to live in, so less traditional preservative is needed. Korean formulas use it heavily for that second reason.
25 more explained
- Magnesium Sulfate mineral
- Magnesium Sulfate is Epsom salt, used as a mineral salt in the water phase. Despite the name it is not a cleansing sulfate and does not foam.
- Octyldodecanol emollient
- Octyldodecanol is a branched fatty alcohol used as an emollient and as a solvent for pigments and mineral powders. It thickens slightly and leaves a soft finish.
- Disteardimonium Hectorite thickener
- Disteardimonium Hectorite is a modified clay used to thicken the oil phase and stop pigments settling to the bottom of the bottle.
- Aluminum Hydroxide absorbent
- Aluminum Hydroxide is a mineral powder used to coat pigments so they disperse evenly, and to absorb a little oil. It is not an antiperspirant salt.
- Stearic Acid fatty acid
- Stearic Acid is a saturated fatty acid from plant fats, and one of the three lipid classes skin's own barrier is built from. In a formula it thickens, stabilises the emulsion and can be turned into a soap-style cleanser by adding a base.
- Polyhydroxystearic Acid dispersant
- A polymer of hydroxystearic acid whose whole job is keeping mineral powders and pigments evenly suspended in oil instead of settling or streaking.
- Triethoxycaprylylsilane silicone
- Triethoxycaprylylsilane is a coating applied to mineral powders so they disperse evenly and resist water rather than clumping.
- Alumina absorbent
- Alumina is aluminium oxide, a hard white mineral powder. It is used to coat pigments so they disperse evenly and, ground fine, as a mild polishing grain.
- Potassium Sorbate preservative
- Potassium Sorbate is a preservative that holds off yeast and mould in acidic formulas. It is almost always used with sodium benzoate, because neither covers the whole range of microbes alone.
- Polyglyceryl-4 Isostearate emulsifier
- Polyglyceryl-4 Isostearate is a water-in-oil emulsifier common in cleansing oils and balms.
- Neopentyl Glycol Diethylhexanoate emollient
- A light branched ester with a dry, powdery finish. It is used to thin heavier oils without adding shine.
- Isopropyl Titanium Triisostearate dispersant
- An ester used to coat mineral powders so they wet out in oil rather than clumping. It is a processing aid for pigments rather than an ingredient aimed at skin.
- Adenosine active
- Adenosine is a nucleoside that Korea's own cosmetic authority recognises as a wrinkle-care functional ingredient, which is why it appears on so many Korean lists at a low level. It is used for the look of fine lines and is stable and well tolerated.
- Trisodium Ethylenediamine Disuccinate chelator
- A readily biodegradable chelator used in place of EDTA. It ties up trace metal ions in the water so they cannot spoil the formula.
- Polymethyl Methacrylate absorbent
- Polymethyl Methacrylate is an acrylic polymer used as fine spheres. They give a smooth, powdery slip and blur the look of surface texture.
- Haematococcus Pluvialis Oil antioxidant
- An algae extract that is the main natural source of astaxanthin, the deep red carotenoid. It is used as a plant antioxidant and colours a formula orange-red.
- Butylene Glycol humectant
- Butylene Glycol is a small glycol that does two jobs at once: it holds water in the top layer of skin and it dissolves plant extracts and actives that plain water cannot. It also thins a formula, which is why watery Korean essences lean on it.
- Glycerin humectant
- Glycerin is the most used humectant in skincare. It draws water into the outer layer of skin and holds it there, and it is one of the very few ingredients whose hydrating effect is settled science rather than marketing. Higher amounts feel tacky, which is why it is usually blended.
- Dipropylene Glycol humectant
- Dipropylene Glycol is a glycol used as a solvent and a light humectant. Its main job is keeping the rest of the formula dissolved and the texture fluid rather than adding hydration of its own.
- Sodium Palmitoyl Proline amino acid
- The amino acid proline with a fatty tail attached, which lets it work at the boundary between oil and water. It conditions and helps hold an emulsion together.
- Hibiscus Sabdariffa Flower Extract plant extract
- Roselle hibiscus extract, deep red from anthocyanins and naturally acidic. It carries plant acids and is used as an antioxidant extract.
- Astaxanthin antioxidant
- Astaxanthin is a deep red antioxidant from microalgae, the pigment that makes salmon pink. It is oil soluble, colours a formula noticeably, and is used as an antioxidant.
- Pancratium Maritimum Extract plant extract
- Sea daffodil extract, from a bulb that survives on bare coastal sand. It is used as a conditioning extract for the look of uneven tone.
- Nymphaea Alba Flower Extract plant extract
- White water lily flower extract, carrying tannins and flavonoids. It is used as a conditioning floral extract.
- Propolis Extract plant extract
- Propolis is the resin bees collect from tree buds and use to seal the hive. It is rich in flavonoids, carries a warm amber colour and scent, and is used for the look of dull, stressed skin. It is a bee product, so it is worth knowing about if you react to those.

How it works
The formula rides on a cushion foam soaked in liquid base rather than a solid stick, so each press of the puff lifts a thin, even film that settles into skin instead of sitting on top of it. Silicone elastomers and film-forming polymers in the base give the flexible finish the Red Cushion line is known for in the Korean cushion category, letting the coverage move with expression lines rather than cracking at them. Its own ingredient list names Niacinamide, Adenosine, Titanium dioxide, Iron Oxides and Dimethicone. Coverage builds from a sheer wash with one layer to a fuller, still skin-like finish with two.
How to use
- Shake the refill lightly before opening to redistribute the liquid, press the puff into the well two or three times, then pat it across the face working outward from the centre. Tap rather than drag for an even film, and press a light second layer only where you want more coverage. Re-press the puff over the T-zone midday to refresh the finish without adding visible product.
Worth knowing
- Patch test a new shade along the jawline in daylight before committing to a full-size cushion or compact.
- Skin with a known sensitivity to silicones or fragrance should check the full ingredient list before daily wear.
- Reapply with a light press rather than a thick new layer, since building up too much product can settle into fine lines.
