What each brand is actually good at, where its range overlaps itself, and which product is the one worth starting on.
Every brand we carry has a centre of gravity, and it is rarely the product it advertises hardest. One brand is a barrier-support house that also sells actives. One is an acid-and-turnover house that also sells barrier products. Knowing which is which is the difference between buying a brand's best work and buying its least distinctive product at the same price.
Brand ranges also overlap themselves heavily, especially in Korea, where a successful formula spawns a toner, a pad, an ampoule and a mask carrying the same hero ingredient. Most of those are the same argument in four textures, and you generally want one of them rather than four.
Each brand page names the formulation angle that brand is actually good at, the authentication route it runs, and the products in its range that are doing something the others are not.
