The brand that made a fermented essence a mass market product
Missha's Time Revolution First Treatment Essence is the product that put a fermented ferment filtrate essence on ordinary Korean shelves at an ordinary price, and it is still the reference point the category gets compared against. The Artemisia line, built on mugwort, is the other range the brand is known for at home.
Adenosine, ceramide NP and niacinamide lead its actives here, and its sun care and cushion catalogue is large and almost entirely Korean domestic. The All Around Safe Block family alone runs to several different formats that an export listing rarely carries together.
First Treatment Essence or Artemisia?
They answer different questions. The essence is a hydrating first step for skin that is fine but dull and wants more water in it, and it is the one to buy if you want to understand what the fermented essence category actually feels like. The Artemisia line is for skin that is reactive and congested at the same time, which is the combination most single purpose ranges handle badly. If you are buying one product to judge the brand, buy the essence; if you are buying to fix something, buy the Artemisia.
Why is so much of this brand Korea only?
