How do you choose a Korean sunscreen?
By finish and by format, because that is what you will actually live with. A watery serum or fluid disappears fastest under makeup and is where most people land after disliking a US sunscreen. A stick is the reapplication format and goes over makeup without a mirror, and a cushion does the same job with a tint. If white cast is the problem, read the no-cast and tinted lines first, because a tinted formula answers it with iron oxides rather than around it. Mineral formulas built on zinc oxide or titanium dioxide are here for skin that prefers them.
Why is a Korean sunscreen formulated differently from its US version?
Because the two countries regulate it differently. Korea regulates sunscreen as a cosmetic and the United States regulates it as an over the counter drug, so each market allows a different set of UV filters and a brand rebuilds the formula rather than shipping one. The name sometimes survives the border while the filter list does not: Centellian24 sells its Madeca Derma Shield under an identical name in both markets with three filters removed from the US version. Every unit here is the Korean release, listed by its Korean barcode, and the ratings printed on these boxes are the Korean markings. The filter system is on the ingredient list on every page.
