How it works
Beauty of Joseon builds the Jelloskin Massage Cream for Face & Body around Niacinamide and Cyclohexasiloxane. This cream's texture comes from a hydrogenated poly-olefin oil and a polyglyceryl-6 distearate emulsifier early on the ingredient list, the combination behind its long, glide-friendly slip for massage. Niacinamide sits in the top five ingredients, ahead of the cyclohexasiloxane and cetearyl alcohol that help set the finish. Laminaria japonica (sea kelp) extract and rice bran oil follow further down the list, giving the formula its conditioned, supple after-feel on both face and body. The cream is meant to be massaged in for as long as the slip lasts, then either tissued off or left on as a rich, closing layer.
Key benefits
- Long-lasting slip built for facial and body massage
- Niacinamide sits in the top five ingredients
- Kelp extract and rice bran oil leave a conditioned finish
- Tissue off the excess or leave it on as a rich cream

How to use
- Use the Jelloskin Massage Cream for Face & Body after showering, while skin is still damp.
- A generous palmful per limb, smoothed on in the direction the hair grows rather than against it.
- It goes on over nothing and under nothing. Damp skin straight out of the shower is the state it works from.
- Once or twice a day. Do not wait until skin has fully dried; the water on the surface is part of what the layer holds in.
Is this cream meant for the face, the body, or both?
It is formulated for use on both face and body, which is why the ingredient list favours a long, glide-friendly massage texture over a fast-absorbing one. That slip comes from the oil and emulsifier combination near the top of the list.
Where does niacinamide sit on the ingredient list?
Niacinamide is in the top five ingredients, ahead of the silicone and alcohol that follow it. That early position is why the cream is described as carrying a tone-evening benefit alongside its massage function.
Should I tissue off the excess or leave it on?
Either works. The cream is formulated to be massaged in for as long as the slip lasts, and you can tissue off any excess afterward or leave it on as a richer, closing layer, depending on how much cushion you want.
Does this cream contain fragrance?
No parfum or fragrance ingredient appears on this cream's own ingredient list. Sea kelp extract and rice bran oil provide the conditioned finish rather than an added scent, which suits use across sensitive body and facial skin.
How can I confirm this is the authentic Korean-market Beauty of Joseon formula, not a US reformulation?
Beauty of Joseon verifies its products by sourcing chain rather than a scan, because the brand has retired its own QR verification and is phasing out its authenticity seal. Your unit arrives with its Korean-market barcode and batch code intact, not swapped for an export label, and we publish exactly where we buy. That intact packaging is the record the brand itself points to now that its earlier scan-based check is gone.
Not on the ingredient list below: fragrance or parfum, denatured or SD alcohol, essential oils, parabens, sulfate surfactants, mineral oil or petrolatum and added color.

17 of 19 explained
- Water solvent
- Water is the base almost every serum, toner and cream is built on. It dissolves the water-loving ingredients and sets how light the finished texture feels. On an INCI list it is usually first, which only means it is the largest single ingredient by weight.
- Glycerin humectant
- Glycerin is the most used humectant in skincare. It draws water into the outer layer of skin and holds it there, and it is one of the very few ingredients whose hydrating effect is settled science rather than marketing. Higher amounts feel tacky, which is why it is usually blended.
- Propanediol humectant
- Propanediol is a plant-derived glycol used in place of propylene glycol. It hydrates, carries actives into solution, and gives a lighter, less sticky slip than glycerin at the same strength.
- Hydrogenated Poly(C6-14 Olefin) emollient
- Hydrogenated Poly(C6-14 Olefin) is a synthetic hydrocarbon emollient. It gives a smooth, silicone-like glide and is completely stable, so it does not go rancid.
- Niacinamide active
- Niacinamide is vitamin B3, and it is the most studied active in Korean formulation. It is used at roughly 2 to 5 percent for the look of uneven tone and visible pores, and it is water soluble, stable and comfortable beside almost every other active, which is why it turns up in so many lists.
- Polyglyceryl-6 Distearate emulsifier
- Polyglyceryl-6 Distearate is a sugar-derived emulsifier used in mild cream bases, often alongside jojoba esters.
- Cyclohexasiloxane silicone
- Cyclohexasiloxane is a volatile silicone used for a light, fast-spreading feel that leaves nothing behind.
- Cetearyl Alcohol fatty alcohol
- Cetearyl Alcohol is a waxy solid, not the drying kind of alcohol. It is a blend of cetyl and stearyl alcohols used to thicken a cream and keep oil and water from separating, and it softens skin as it does so.
- Laminaria Japonica Extract plant extract
- Laminaria Japonica is kombu kelp. Its extract carries alginates, minerals and iodine, and it is used as a hydrating, mineral-rich ingredient.
- Eclipta Prostrata Leaf Extract plant extract
- Eclipta Prostrata is false daisy, long used in Ayurvedic and East Asian practice. Its extract is used as a conditioning plant extract, most often in scalp and hair formulas.
- Phellodendron Amurense Bark Extract plant extract
- Amur cork tree bark, another traditional berberine-bearing herbal ingredient. It is yellow and appears in blends aimed at the look of congested skin.
- Hydrolyzed Gardenia Florida Extract plant extract
- Hydrolyzed Gardenia Florida Extract is gardenia extract broken into smaller fragments so a water-based formula can carry it evenly.
5 more explained
- Opuntia Coccinellifera Fruit Extract plant extract
- Prickly pear fruit extract. The fruit carries betalain pigments and water-holding sugars, and it colours a formula pink.
- Oryza Sativa (Rice) Bran Oil emollient
- Rice Bran Oil is pressed from the bran left over from milling rice. It carries vitamin E and a group of rice-specific antioxidants, and it is a light emollient.
- Hydrogenated Lecithin emulsifier
- Hydrogenated Lecithin is lecithin with its unsaturated bonds filled in, which makes it far more stable. It emulsifies and is the standard shell for the liposomes that carry actives into the outer layer of skin.
- Propylheptyl Caprylate emollient
- A branched ester with a notably dry, silky slip. It is one of the standard silicone replacements when a formula needs a non-greasy finish.
- Ammonium Acryloyldimethyltaurate/VP Copolymer thickener
- This is a synthetic thickener that gels quickly and holds an emulsion stable across a wide pH range. It gives a light, non-tacky body.
