MILKY MOISTURIZER HYDRA BALANCING 125mL$80.00Dr.Belmeur
Clarifying Moisturizer 120ml
Panthenol sits eighth and Niacinamide eleventh in this 120 ml Dr.Belmeur moisturizer, over a silicone base with shea butter and soybean seed extract, so it dries down matte rather than tacky. For oily, blemish prone skin at the moisturizer step.

How to use
- Use the Clarifying Moisturizer as the last skincare step, morning and evening, over serum.
- Apply an appropriate amount as the last step of your skincare routine and gently massage over the face. Tap lightly to help absorption. Avoid the eye area and discontinue use if irritation or redness occurs.
- It closes the routine at night, and in the morning it is the layer sunscreen goes over.
- Twice a day. Do not skip it on an oily day; without a sealing layer the water the steps beneath it brought in leaves again.
Does this product contain added fragrance?
No. Neither fragrance nor parfum appears on the ingredient list for Dr.Belmeur Clarifying Moisturizer 120ml. Those are the two names a cosmetic label uses for an added scent blend, so a formula carrying one would name it. The full list is printed in the Ingredients section of this page.
Does this product contain essential oils?
Yes. The ingredient list for Dr.Belmeur Clarifying Moisturizer 120ml includes Rosmarinus Officinalis Leaf Oil, Melaleuca Alternifolia Leaf Oil, Citrus Aurantium Bergamia Fruit Oil and Eucalyptus Globulus Leaf Oil. Aromatic plant oils are listed under their botanical name rather than as fragrance, so they are named separately from any fragrance or parfum entry.
Are any declarable fragrance allergens listed?
Yes. Limonene, Linalool and Citral appear on the ingredient list for Dr.Belmeur Clarifying Moisturizer 120ml. These belong to the 26 fragrance components that EU cosmetic labelling requires to be named individually rather than folded into a fragrance entry.
Does this product contain denatured or SD alcohol?
Yes. The ingredient list for Dr.Belmeur Clarifying Moisturizer 120ml includes Alcohol Denat. That is the solvent form of alcohol, and it is a different ingredient from the fatty alcohols such as cetyl and cetearyl alcohol that many formulas use as emollients.
Not on the ingredient list below: fragrance or parfum, parabens, sulfate surfactants, mineral oil or petrolatum and added color.

36 of 43 explained
- Aqua solvent
- Water is the base almost every serum, toner and cream is built on. It dissolves the water-loving ingredients and sets how light the finished texture feels. On an INCI list it is usually first, which only means it is the largest single ingredient by weight.
- Cyclopentasiloxane silicone
- Cyclopentasiloxane is a volatile silicone: it spreads a formula thin and smooth then evaporates, leaving no residue. It is the silicone behind a dry, powdery primer finish.
- Dipropylene Glycol humectant
- Dipropylene Glycol is a glycol used as a solvent and a light humectant. Its main job is keeping the rest of the formula dissolved and the texture fluid rather than adding hydration of its own.
- Glycerin humectant
- Glycerin is the most used humectant in skincare. It draws water into the outer layer of skin and holds it there, and it is one of the very few ingredients whose hydrating effect is settled science rather than marketing. Higher amounts feel tacky, which is why it is usually blended.
- Triethylhexanoin emollient
- Triethylhexanoin is a light ester emollient that softens skin and disperses pigment. It absorbs cleanly and is often used to thin a heavy oil phase.
- 1,2-Hexanediol humectant
- 1,2-Hexanediol is a glycol used for two reasons: it holds water like glycerin, and it makes a formula harder for microbes to live in, so less traditional preservative is needed. Korean formulas use it heavily for that second reason.
- Dimethicone silicone
- Dimethicone is the most used cosmetic silicone. It forms a breathable film that smooths the surface, slows water leaving skin, and gives the slip that makes a primer or cream feel silky. It is inert and does not penetrate.
- Panthenol humectant
- Panthenol is pro-vitamin B5: skin converts it to pantothenic acid. It is a humectant that holds water and leaves skin feeling soft and less tight, and it is one of the ingredients formulators reach for when a formula also contains something harsh.
- Ammonium Acryloyldimethyltaurate/VP Copolymer thickener
- This is a synthetic thickener that gels quickly and holds an emulsion stable across a wide pH range. It gives a light, non-tacky body.
- Butyrospermum Parkii Butter emollient
- Shea Butter is the fat pressed from the shea nut, rich in oleic and stearic acids and unsaponifiable plant sterols. It is a heavy emollient and partial occlusive, which is why it sits in balms and night creams rather than in essences.
- Niacinamide active
- Niacinamide is vitamin B3, and it is the most studied active in Korean formulation. It is used at roughly 2 to 5 percent for the look of uneven tone and visible pores, and it is water soluble, stable and comfortable beside almost every other active, which is why it turns up in so many lists.
- Glycine Soja Seed Extract plant extract
- Soybean Seed Extract carries isoflavones, plant sterols and soy proteins. It is used as a conditioning antioxidant extract.
24 more explained
- Alcohol Denat solvent
- Alcohol Denat. is ethanol with a bitter additive that makes it undrinkable, which is a tax rule rather than a formulation choice. It behaves like alcohol: a fast-evaporating solvent that gives a weightless finish and can feel drying at higher levels.
- Tromethamine pH adjuster
- Tromethamine neutralises acidic thickeners such as carbomer so they gel, and holds a formula near skin-friendly pH. It is used at a fraction of a percent.
- Carbomer thickener
- Carbomer is a synthetic polymer that only gels once a base neutralises it, which is why arginine or tromethamine sits nearby on the list. It gives the clear, non-stringy gel texture a xanthan formula cannot reach.
- Simmondsia Chinensis Seed Oil emollient
- Jojoba Oil is a liquid wax rather than a true oil, and its structure is close to human sebum, which is why it absorbs so readily. It is an emollient that leaves a soft, non-greasy finish.
- Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer thickener
- This is a carbomer relative with fatty side chains, so it thickens and stabilises an emulsion at the same time. It gives a light gel-cream body rather than a heavy one.
- Citrus Aurantifolia Oil fragrance component
- Lime oil, an essential oil pressed from the peel. It scents a formula strongly, and expressed citrus oils can make skin more sensitive to sun.
- Rosmarinus Officinalis Leaf Oil fragrance component
- Rosemary Leaf Oil is an essential oil carrying camphor and cineole. It scents a formula and is a stronger aromatic than most.
- Melaleuca Alternifolia Leaf Oil fragrance component
- Tea Tree Leaf Oil is an essential oil from an Australian shrub, carrying terpinen-4-ol. Korean formulas use it in products aimed at blemish-prone skin; it is potent, aromatic, and one of the essential oils most likely to bother reactive skin.
- Citrus Aurantium Bergamia Fruit Oil fragrance component
- Bergamot Fruit Oil is a citrus essential oil and the top note of eau de cologne. It scents a formula; citrus oils are the aromatic class most likely to bother reactive skin.
- Beta-Glucan polysaccharide
- Beta-Glucan is a polysaccharide from oats or yeast. It holds a large amount of water, forms a soothing film, and is one of the ingredients formulators reach for in products aimed at reactive skin.
- Eucalyptus Globulus Leaf Oil fragrance component
- Eucalyptus Leaf Oil is an essential oil carrying eucalyptol. It scents a formula sharply and gives a cooling sensation.
- Sodium Benzoate preservative
- Sodium Benzoate is a mild preservative that works only in acidic formulas. It is usually paired with potassium sorbate, and the pair is the standard choice where a brand wants no phenoxyethanol.
- Potassium Sorbate preservative
- Potassium Sorbate is a preservative that holds off yeast and mould in acidic formulas. It is almost always used with sodium benzoate, because neither covers the whole range of microbes alone.
- Citric Acid pH adjuster
- Citric Acid is used in tiny amounts to bring a formula to the pH its actives need, not as an exfoliant at that level. It is an AHA, so at much higher concentrations it can also exfoliate.
- Butylene Glycol humectant
- Butylene Glycol is a small glycol that does two jobs at once: it holds water in the top layer of skin and it dissolves plant extracts and actives that plain water cannot. It also thins a formula, which is why watery Korean essences lean on it.
- Melissa Officinalis Leaf Extract plant extract
- Lemon balm extract, a mint-family herb rich in rosmarinic acid. It is used as an antioxidant conditioning extract with a light lemon scent.
- Mentha Piperita Leaf Extract plant extract
- Peppermint leaf extract, the water-based extract rather than the essential oil, so it carries far less menthol. It is used as a refreshing herbal extract.
- Achillea Millefolium Extract plant extract
- Yarrow extract. The plant carries flavonoids, tannins and azulene compounds, so the extract has an astringent character and is used as a conditioning botanical.
- Alchemilla Vulgaris Extract plant extract
- Lady's mantle extract, a tannin-rich rose-family herb. It gives an astringent feel and is used as a conditioning extract.
- Primula Veris Extract plant extract
- Cowslip extract, carrying saponins and flavonoids. It is used as a conditioning plant extract.
- Citrus Unshiu Peel Extract plant extract
- The peel extract of the satsuma mandarin, the gyul grown on Jeju. It carries flavonoids and aromatic oils and is used as a conditioning antioxidant extract.
- Limonene fragrance component
- Limonene is the citrus-peel aromatic. It appears here because EU labelling requires 26 fragrance components to be named individually rather than hidden inside "fragrance", and it is one of them.
- Linalool fragrance component
- Linalool is a floral aromatic found in lavender, bergamot and coriander. It is one of the 26 fragrance components EU labelling requires to be declared by name.
- Citral fragrance component
- Citral is a sharp lemon aromatic found in lemongrass and citrus oils. It is one of the 26 fragrance components EU labelling requires to be named.
