How it works

Hydrolyzed Collagen Extract is named on the ingredient panel on this cream. A collagen-bearing extract with the protein already cut into fragments, so it dissolves and spreads. At that size it works as a humectant rather than as a source of new collagen. On this panel it sits alongside Niacinamide, Eclipta Prostrata Extract and Adenosine. Niacinamide is vitamin B3, and it is the most studied active in Korean formulation. It is used at roughly 2 to 5 percent for the look of uneven tone and visible pores, and it is water soluble, stable and comfortable beside almost every other active, which is why it turns up in so many lists.

How to use

  1. Complete your cleanser, toner, and serum steps before this one.
  2. Scoop a generous amount of cream rather than a thin, serum-sized amount.
  3. Massage evenly over the face and neck rather than just the cheeks.
  4. In the morning, follow with sunscreen once absorbed.
