How it works
Melacare Intensive Cream is Genabelle's cream, formulated to work as a richer, more occlusive-leaning moisturizer step that locks in everything applied underneath. Tranexamic Acid sits high on the ingredient list, a brightening amino-acid derivative widely used in Korean formulas to support an even tone. Betaine sits mid list, a sugar-beet-derived humectant supporting moisture retention. Arginine sits mid list, an amino acid working as a humectant and pH-buffering ingredient. Genabelle's Melacare line is built for uneven tone, pairing niacinamide with tranexamic acid.
Key benefits
- Tranexamic Acid, a brightening amino-acid derivative widely used in Korean formulas to support an even tone
- Betaine, a sugar-beet-derived humectant supporting moisture retention
- Arginine, an amino acid working as a humectant and pH-buffering ingredient
How to use
- Apply it last among your leave-on steps, after your toner and any serum.
- Press a small amount over slightly damp skin, covering the whole face rather than the marks alone.
- Wear a sunscreen every morning without exception, since sun exposure undoes tone work faster than anything else.
- Do not begin at twice a day if your skin reacts easily, and build up from nights only.
What is this cream for?
It is the closing step of a routine with tone work built into it, aimed at dark marks that a gentler product has not shifted. It reaches the whole face without needing a separate serum.
How long before marks look different?
Give it eight weeks of consistent use. Photograph your face in the same light at the same time of day a month apart, because memory and a bathroom mirror are both unreliable over that period.
Should I put it only on the marks?
No. Spot applying leaves a visible edge where treated skin meets untreated skin, and tone is an all over question anyway. Cover the whole face and take it down over the jaw.
Can I use it in the morning?
Yes, with a sunscreen over the top. Give it a minute to settle before the sunscreen so nothing pills. Sun exposure is the single thing most likely to undo the work.
How long does 50ml last?
At twice daily use, around two months on the face and neck. Used at night only it stretches to three or more. A small amount pressed onto damp skin covers more than a scoop rubbed in dry.

Worth knowing
- A sunscreen every morning is part of using it, or the routine works against the sun.
- Build from nights only to twice a day if your skin reacts easily to a new active.
