How to use
- Use the Daily Cica Hand Wash in the shower, on wet skin.
- Pump 2 to 3 times to dispense the product. Massage gently onto hands for 20 to 30 seconds. Rinse thoroughly with water.
- Follow it with a body lotion while skin is still damp from the shower.
- Daily, or on the days you want it. Do not use it on the face; a body wash is built for a thicker surface than facial skin.
Does this product contain added fragrance?
Yes. The ingredient list for MIGUHARA Daily Cica Hand Wash 300ml includes Fragrance. That is the label name for an added scent blend, whose individual components are not itemised beyond any allergens the label declares separately. The full list is printed in the Ingredients section of this page.
Are any declarable fragrance allergens listed?
No. None of the 26 fragrance components that EU cosmetic labelling requires to be named individually appear on the ingredient list for MIGUHARA Daily Cica Hand Wash 300ml. They are the components most often reported as contact allergens, which is why that rule names them one by one.
Does this product contain denatured or SD alcohol?
No. The ingredient list for MIGUHARA Daily Cica Hand Wash 300ml names no denatured alcohol, SD alcohol or ethanol. Fatty alcohols such as cetyl and cetearyl alcohol are a different class of ingredient, used as emollients and thickeners, and are not counted here.
Not on the ingredient list below: denatured or SD alcohol, essential oils, silicones, parabens, mineral oil or petrolatum and added color.

19 of 21 explained
- Centella Asiatica Extract (87%) plant extract
- Centella Asiatica is the plant behind the whole cica category, sold as gotu kola or Madagascar centella. Its extract is the anchor of Korean formulas built for easily reddened skin, and its work is done by four triterpenes: asiaticoside, madecassoside, asiatic acid and madecassic acid.
- Ammonium Lauryl Sulfate surfactant
- The ammonium salt of lauryl sulfate, a strongly foaming cleansing surfactant. The ammonium form is a little milder and more water soluble than the sodium one.
- Glycerin humectant
- Glycerin is the most used humectant in skincare. It draws water into the outer layer of skin and holds it there, and it is one of the very few ingredients whose hydrating effect is settled science rather than marketing. Higher amounts feel tacky, which is why it is usually blended.
- 1,2-Hexanediol humectant
- 1,2-Hexanediol is a glycol used for two reasons: it holds water like glycerin, and it makes a formula harder for microbes to live in, so less traditional preservative is needed. Korean formulas use it heavily for that second reason.
- Potassium Cocoyl Glycinate surfactant
- Potassium Cocoyl Glycinate is a coconut-and-glycine surfactant used in low-pH cleansers. It foams well and rinses without the squeaky tightness a soap leaves.
- Phellinus Linteus Extract plant extract
- Sanghuang, a hard bracket mushroom used in Korean and Chinese herbal tradition. Its extract carries water-holding polysaccharides.
- Artemisia Annua Extract plant extract
- Artemisia Annua is sweet wormwood, a mugwort relative. Its extract is used in Korean formulas for the look of reactive skin.
- Ginkgo Biloba Leaf Extract plant extract
- Ginkgo leaf extract, carrying flavone glycosides and terpene lactones. It is one of the most studied plant extracts and is used as an antioxidant.
- Ficus Carica (Fig) Fruit Extract plant extract
- Fig Fruit Extract carries fruit sugars, mild acids and a protein-digesting enzyme. It is used as a hydrating extract with a light smoothing effect.
- Malt Extract plant extract
- Malt Extract comes from sprouted barley and carries sugars, amino acids and B vitamins. It is used as a conditioning, hydrating extract.
- Propanediol humectant
- Propanediol is a plant-derived glycol used in place of propylene glycol. It hydrates, carries actives into solution, and gives a lighter, less sticky slip than glycerin at the same strength.
- C12-13 Pareth-9 surfactant
- An ethoxylated fatty alcohol used as a mild surfactant and solubiliser, most often so an oil-based makeup remover will rinse away with water.
7 more explained
- Citric Acid pH adjuster
- Citric Acid is used in tiny amounts to bring a formula to the pH its actives need, not as an exfoliant at that level. It is an AHA, so at much higher concentrations it can also exfoliate.
- Water solvent
- Water is the base almost every serum, toner and cream is built on. It dissolves the water-loving ingredients and sets how light the finished texture feels. On an INCI list it is usually first, which only means it is the largest single ingredient by weight.
- Benzyl Glycol preservative booster
- Benzyl Glycol is a solvent that also makes a formula less hospitable to microbes, so it appears in preservative blends built without parabens.
- Ethylhexylglycerin preservative booster
- Ethylhexylglycerin softens skin and boosts a preservative system, which is why it is nearly always sitting beside phenoxyethanol or 1,2-hexanediol. It also cuts down the odour bacteria produce, so it turns up in deodorising products.
- Raspberry Ketone fragrance component
- Raspberry Ketone is the compound that gives raspberries their smell. On a list it is an aromatic ingredient rather than a functional one.
- Disodium EDTA chelator
- EDTA is a chelator: it locks up trace metal ions from water and packaging that would otherwise turn a formula cloudy, off-colour or rancid. It does nothing to skin and appears at a fraction of a percent.
- Fragrance fragrance
- Fragrance, or Parfum, is a single declaration standing for a whole scent blend, which can be dozens of materials. Regulators allow it as a trade secret, so a list showing only this word does not say what the scent is made of. It is the most common trigger named by people with reactive skin.
