Every product named after what is in it
APLB does something unusual in Korean skincare: it names each product after its actual actives and then sells the same formula in four formats. Glutathione Niacinamide exists as an ampoule, a toner, a cream and a mist essence; so do Hyaluronic Acid Ceramide HA B5, Retinol Vitamin C Vitamin E, Salicylic Acid BHA Arbutin, Collagen EGF Peptide and AHA BHA PHA Centella.
That grid is the whole brand and it makes this one of the easiest pages in the store to shop, because the choice is two dimensional: pick the actives row, then pick the format. Centella asiatica, beta-glucan, sodium hyaluronate and squalane recur across the range, and the scalp line applies the same idea to hair.
Which row of the grid, and which format?
Choose the row by the one thing you want changed and the format by where it fits in a routine you already have. The ampoules at 40ml are the concentrated version and the place to start; the 160ml toners are the same idea as a first layer and are far cheaper per millilitre; the 55ml creams close the routine. Only one of the Retinol and the Salicylic Acid rows at a time, and not on the same night, because both are active steps rather than supporting ones.
Does naming the actives on the front mean the list is better?
It means the claim on the front is checkable against the list on the back, which is not the same thing but is worth a lot. A product called Glutathione Niacinamide has to declare both, at a position you can read, and that is the check to run on every listing here. It does not tell you the concentration, which Korean labelling does not require outside the notified actives, so read the order of the list rather than the name on the box.
